Chapter 386 1 Changed My Mind
Adriana didn’t say a word. Her face looked strained.

Savannah smiled in satisfaction and spoke again “No rush, Adriana. I’ll wait for your answer. In the meantime, you might want to take Denton to the hospital for a checkup.”
With that, Savannah left, looking smug.
Adriana watched her go, then glanced down at the HIV test result and let out a cold laugh.
Savannah really was a piece of work. She’d used this kind of dirty trick on more than one rich heir before.
Someone like her deserved to pay the price for once.
“Denton, we were right. The moment Ernest died, Savannah rushed right over. I’m coming to find you, let’s hit the hospital and make a show of it.” Adriana called Denton and quickly left the office.
Outside Haldoria Hospital, in the parking lot.
Savannah’s driver pulled up. “Ms. Feron, Adriana and Denton are at the hospital now. Looks like they’re scared.”
“The more scared they are, the stronger my hand.” Savannah leaned back in her seat, satisfied, waiting for Adriana’s call.
It didn’t take long before Adriana rang.
“Savannah, Denton and I talked about your conditions. We can give you half the shares, but you have to guarantee this stays between us.” Adriana’s voice was low and firm.
“I just changed my mind,” Savannah said with a smug laugh, feeling even more secure.
“Savannah!” Adriana’s voice was full of anger.
“Don’t get worked up, Adriana. I just think half the share aren’t enough for me to keep my mouth shut. I want every single share Denton has in Lincoln Group. Then, he can go be the Gills‘ live–in son–in–law. I want full control of Lincoln Group. If he doesn’t agree, I’m not only leaking the HIV story, but I’ll also expose all the dirt from inside Lincoln Group. After all, during my time managing the company, I’ve learned enough about it. I’ve got plenty of
skeletons to air out.”

Adriana fell silent for a long moment before finally replying, “Give us a little time to think about it…”
After hanging up, Savannah gave the driver a satisfied nod. “Let’s go.”
As they drove off, Savannah called Mister. “Mister, Adriana and Denton agreed to hand over the Lincoln Group shares. They have no other choice.”
“You did well.” Mister sounded very pleased with Savannah’s speed and tactics. “I’ll send someone to Lincoln Group to help you. Remember, don’t get any funny ideas.”
Savannah frowned. Mister’s sending someone over to ‘help‘? That’s not help. That’s surveillance.
To be exact, he didn’t trust her to run the company on her own. That was why he was sending someone over. “Yes, Mister,” Savannah replied through gritted teeth.
She swallowed her frustration. There was nothing she could do, not when Mister held dirt on
everyone.
For now, she’d play along. She was still young. There would be chances to fight back.
Adriana and Denton left the hospital and saw Savannah’s car drive away.
“I recorded everything Savannah said earlier. For now, we’ll play along and say we’ll transfer the shares. What we really need is for her boss to slip up,” Adriana told Denton.
“Adriana, I can’t keep Lincoln Group’s shares in my name any longer. If we’re going to pu this off, I have to sign them over to someone I trust. They’re not safe with me.” Denton and Adriana got in the car, and he handed her the transfer documents. “They should’ve belonged to Curtis anyway–giving them to you is just as good.”
Adriana was stunned. She knew Denton trusted her, but she hadn’t expected this level of
trust.
“Alright, let’s stick to the plan, step by step.” Adriana nodded. “If anything happens at Lincoln Group, tell me immediately. Once Savannah has the shares, Mister is bound to make a move.”
Denton nodded.
Encounter Cafe.
The second floor was quiet, not a single other customer in sight.
