Danielle’s eyes turned hot at once. Adriana had clearly seen through how miserable her situation was.

“I just took over the company, and I still have a lot of unfinished matters waiting for me. I really don’t have the energy to deal with Mr. Hale myself right now. If you’re willing, you can return to Barton Group and start over as a mid–level employee in the Architecture Department. You already know the pay, so think about it,” Adriana said again.

Many people had warned her not to bring danger into her own house, but she believed Danielle no longer posed any real threat to her. So, for Jeremy’s sake, Adriana chose to give her
