With that in mind, he pressed the intercom and called Sergio in.
“Mr. Keywood, how can I help you?”
Sergio pushed open the door to the CEO’s office and hurried inside.

He was extremely uneasy, afraid that Alfred would pin him down over the Mrs. Keywood nonsense he’d spread earlier.
But Alfred said, “Cancel all my work before the New Year. Then find a good travel agency team and design a two-week Nordmere travel itinerary.”
“T-travel?”
Sergio’s eyes widened in shock. “Mr. Keywood, you’re traveling again?”
It hadn’t even been ten days since the last two-week trip ended.
With Alfred’s massive workload, that previous two-week vacation had only been possible by cramming all the work together beforehand.
“Yup.”
Alfred didn’t explain much. He only said, “Don’t ask so many questions. Just do it. Bring me all the upcoming work schedules.”
Sergio didn’t answer right away. He hesitated, then carefully asked, “Mr. Keywood, are you traveling with Mrs. Keywood?”
Alfred lifted his head from the documents. Seeing Sergio hesitate like this, he frowned slightly.
“What? Is there a problem?”
Sergio asked hesitantly, “Have you asked Mrs. Keywood what she thinks?”
Alfred fell silent.
He had intended it to be a surprise. Why would he ask her in advance?
“Once the itinerary is ready, I’ll just send it to her.”
Oh, wow.
Look at him, making decisions on a whim without asking anyone’s opinion.

Sergio’s inner voice was rolling its eyes and clicking its tongue nonstop.
“Mr. Keywood, a two-week trip means Mrs. Keywood has to take leave from the hospital.”
Sergio braced himself and continued, “I have a friend who works in the same department as Mrs. Keywood. The last time she took two weeks off, she swapped shifts with colleagues a full month in advance and covered several consecutive overnight shifts to make it work.”
He wasn’t a doctor, but even he knew how tough it is for a surgeon in a hot department to carve out two weeks.
Does Mr. Keywood think getting time off is that easy for everyone?
Alfred’s expression shifted slightly.
Only then did he recall that during the time before their last trip, Nella really hadn’t come home for several days.
He never asked about her work, so he naturally didn’t know she’d scheduled that many overnight shifts.
Thinking about this, and then about leaving Nella alone in Glacieroth for two weeks, Alfred felt deep regret.
“Why don’t you talk to Mrs. Keywood first and see if she can arrange the leave?”
