“Take these documents to Richie. Have him pass them up the chain. And assign someone to keep a close watch on my aunt. Don’t let her have any contact with the outside world.”

His voice was shaking. It took every ounce of willpower he had to stay calm enough to give those orders.

The moment he finished, he stumbled toward the door nearly tripping several times.

“Make the arrangements. I’m going to Seldoria.”

Alfred’s voice trembled, spiraling out of control.

Sergio was stunned by his words and rushed forward to stop him.

“Mr. Keywood, the borders of Seldoria have been sealed. You can’t get through. It’s too dangerous right now. Besides, Mrs. Keywood is…”

“Shut up!”

Alfred’s jaw was clenched so tight the words barely scraped through his teeth.

He knew what Sergio was about to say.

The bombing had already happened. It had hit the protection zone directly.

The chances of anyone surviving were almost nonexistent.

But he didn’t want to hear it. The only thought in his mind right now was to get to Seldoria and bring Nella

home.

He had already abandoned her once in a foreign land. He couldn’t let it happen again.

“Mr. Keywood, please calm down. Going there now is suicide.”

Sergio tried to hold him back, but the bloodshot rage in Alfred’s eyes made him flinch.

“If you won’t make the arrangements, I’ll go myself.”

“Mr. Keywood…”

In the end, Sergio gritted his teeth and agreed. “I’ll arrange it right away.”

Even with the borders sealed, the Keywoods’ connections and resources, getting into Seldoria wasn’t impossible.

After the bombing, countries around the world dispatched military aircraft to retrieve the remains of the victims.

The Keywood Group’s private jet followed Graystan’s rescue aircraft and landed in Seldoria the very next day.

By then, the civilian protection zone had been reduced rubble. Bodies were scattered everywhere.

The moment Alfred stepped off the plane, he ran towar the protection zone like a man possessed.

Chapter 400 Terrified of Finding

“Nella … Nella…”

He stood among the bodies like a lost child, dazed and helpless.

Then he began tearing through the wreckage, desperately searching for any sign of her.

Mason had come with him.

He was no better off than Alfred.

In just two days, he looked like a man whose soul had been ripped out. His eyes were hollow, his body

gaunt.

The two of them dug through the debris over and over, clinging to a sliver of hope.

Terrified of not finding her. Terrified of what they might find.

Meanwhile, in a house hundreds of miles from the protection zone, Nella slowly regained consciousness.

Wesley’s anxious voice reached her ears. “Sunny. Sunny Wake up!”

She opened her eyes. The familiar smell of gunpowder filled her nose.

Her awareness returned piece by piece.

Then, in a flash, everything came rushing back. She jolted awake.

She looked at Wesley, whose hands were bound, and her voice shook.

“The protection zone…”

“Shh. Don’t talk yet.”

Wesley cut her off.

“Take off my glasses and hand them to me.”

Nella forced herself to stay calm, pushing the thoughts of the protection zone out of her mind.

She used her mouth to pull the glasses from Wesley’s face, then shifted her position to place them in his hands, which were tied behind his back.

Wesley removed the lens from the frame, snapped it in half, and began slowly sawing through the rope

around his wrists.
