Marshall shook his head. “He was wearing a black trench coat and standing with his back to me. In the dream, I couldn’t remember who he was, and I never heard Joanna mention him.”
A deep sense of disappointment flashed in Natalie’s eyes.
Marshall was frustrated as well. He wanted to remember more, but he couldn't.
Natalie smiled. “Then don’t think about it. We’ll see him again. This time, we can start over. Don’t just focus on revenge; we need to work on making the company stronger.”
“Only with real power can we overcome any obstacle.”
“We’ll take on every challenge that comes our way and work our way up to being the richest people in the world.”
Natalie looked at him with a bright smile.
She still had so many things she wanted to do.
Marshall sniffled. “Okay! Let’s do this!”
Natalie smiled at his boyish enthusiasm.
Mrs. Spencer Sr.’s eyes softened, and she let out a sigh of relief. Her precious grandson had finally escaped his fate.
She spoke kindly, “Come on, let’s go have breakfast.”
Natalie helped the old woman to her feet, and they went to the dining room together.
A lavish breakfast had been prepared. Natalie and Marshall chatted while they ate, the atmosphere warm and happy.
Mrs. Spencer Sr. was also very relaxed.
After breakfast.
Marshall went to the office.
Natalie needed to go home. She glanced at the time; it was still early.
The snow had stopped overnight, and the morning sun was a bit harsh. She drove slowly.
As she left the Spencer family’s gated community and made a turn, a person suddenly rushed out and fell in front of her car. Natalie slammed on the brakes.
Natalie’s eyes widened. What was happening?
Did she hit someone?
No, no, the person had run out on their own. This was a setup.
Natalie quickly opened her car door and got out, only to see Mrs. Wilson covered in blood.
Natalie was speechless.
“Herbert, just get ready. I’ll be there as fast as I can.”
“No, no, no, driving in this snow isn’t safe. Slow down. As long as the person is still breathing, I can save them. But you need to be careful.” Herbert reminded her.
Natalie smiled. “Okay!”
She glanced at Mrs. Wilson in the back seat. The news about Sophia had just broken last night, and now this had happened to her.
Was it Joanna or Mr. Wilson?
The villa she’d been near wasn’t the Wilson family’s home. What was Mrs. Wilson doing there?
Natalie turned on the rear seat heaters, looking worriedly at the woman's legs.
“Mrs. Wilson, hang in there. We’re almost at the hospital.”
But Mrs. Wilson was unconscious and couldn’t hear anything.
Forty minutes later, Natalie pulled into the hospital’s underground parking garage.
Herbert was already waiting there. Since it was a confidential treatment, he had only brought his assistant with him.
