Natalie truly wasn’t greedy; she hadn’t asked for a single dollar of Sebastian’s money in the divorce.
Sebastian had no idea what Sean was thinking.
As far as he was concerned, everything he did for Joanna was out of gratitude for saving his life.
It wasn’t love. He had attended banquets with her and taken her on business trips, but it was all for work. That didn’t count as a relationship.
A real relationship should be just two people spending time together, talking about anything and everything, dreaming about the future.
He scrolled through the search results for dating tips, and a flood of various techniques filled the screen.
First: Find a clear night and take her to the countryside, far from the city noise. Lie on the soft grass and gaze at the brilliant starry sky together.
Point to the brightest star and tell her, “In this vast cosmos, that star is as unique and radiant as you are in my heart. I want to be like this night sky, always by your side, listening to all your joys and sorrows.”
Sebastian thought watching the stars was a good idea, but the words were far too cheesy. He could never say something like that.
Second: Secretly plan a short trip for just the two of you.
Don’t tell her the destination. On the day of departure, just take her hand and lead her on an unknown journey. Along the way, arrange everything for her, from cozy accommodations to delicious local cuisine, letting her feel your thoughtfulness and care through the surprise.
The more Sebastian read, the more uncomfortable he felt.
Because he had taken Joanna on a trip before, to a very romantic island.
Thinking about it now, he understood why Natalie was repulsed by him. He was repulsed by himself.
Sebastian angrily put his phone down.
And his shameless father was secretly helping this son.
Also, his grandfather had been gone for almost a year, managing business overseas and refusing to come back. Why? Had his grandfather discovered something too? Just yesterday, he had sent a message telling him to be careful, that there was a mole in his circle.
But who could it be?
Sebastian fell into deep thought. The image of Natalie with Marshall resurfaced, and a wave of fury washed over him.
In his entire life, only Natalie had ever made him this angry.
But it seemed there was no place left for him in her heart.
Seeing Sebastian’s troubled expression, Sean said, “Sir, what if we drug the chairman? We could probably find some clues on his phone. What do you think of that plan?”
