Evelyn Carrington just smiled without saying a word. She was the most heartless one of all.
Evelyn went to buy the shoes she had been looking at earlier. This woman dared to play with her emotions. She would deal with her, slowly.
Sophia followed behind her, feeling that something about her had changed, but then she thought, Evelyn is so naive, she probably didn't notice a thing.

Natalie chatted at Mrs. Wilson's home for several hours, and they finally settled on a partnership.
Mrs. Wilson also decided against sending Mr. Wilson to prison. She knew him well; letting him self-destruct would be a fate worse than death.
Natalie had no objections and respected her decision.
It was eight o'clock at night when she and Luna finally went home.
When she arrived, she was surprised to find the house brightly lit. Sebastian was already back.
She changed her shoes in the entryway and took off her down jacket.
She was still carrying the kiwis and cherries that Melissa Grant had prepared for her. She was quite fond of kiwis.
Just as she put the fruit down, she received a call from Matthew.
"Hello, Mr. Monroe."
Natalie's voice was cheerful as she answered.
"Natalie, from the sound of your voice, you seem to be in a good mood." Natalie was indeed in a great mood. "I am, Mr. Monroe. Is there something you needed?"
Matthew said, "Natalie, it's about the designs you gave me. Our company has unanimously decided to make six of them into limited-edition pieces. Prototypes for the other designs have already started production. Natalie, your design talent is truly amazing."
Natalie let out a deep sigh of relief. "Mr. Monroe, thank you for the company's trust in me. This phone call tonight will let me sleep soundly."
Matthew added, "By the way, I stopped by your place earlier to find you, but you weren't home."
Natalie replied, "Oh... I haven't been staying there recently. Was there something you needed, Mr. Monroe?"
He felt a pang of disappointment. Before, the moment he walked in the door, or when she came home, her first concern was always whether he had eaten.
Now, even if she didn't come home, she no longer bothered with such pleasantries.
Natalie glanced at the time. He hadn't eaten this late; she had no idea what he was thinking.
She was tired today. Placing her down jacket on the sofa, she said, "I'll go make you dinner. Wait here."
Sebastian grunted in agreement. "Mm."
He really hadn't eaten. He had assumed Natalie would have dinner waiting for him tonight. Not wanting to keep her waiting, he had left work after six, bringing the rest of his tasks home.
When he returned to the house and pushed open the door to find it dark, a sense of panic and unease had spread through him, making him miserable.
This feeling of insecurity and fear of loss was unbearable.
He turned his head, watching her busy figure in the kitchen, and thought back to the phone call he had just overheard. Matthew was very satisfied with her work.
