To be frank, deep down in Jasper's heart, he was slowly beginning to rediscover his feelings for Alyssa. In fact, his frozen heart fluttered every time he laid eyes on her. Whenever he saw her with Justin, his heart would race uncontrollably, and a throbbing pain would pulse through his head.

"I don't even know how long I'll survive. Plus, Justin is directing most of his attention toward Lyse right now. If I got close to her at this juncture, I would only bring immense trouble upon her.

"If Justin found out that she and I are still close, there's no telling what other depraved thing that lunatic would do. You've worked for him for so many years. I suppose you're well aware of what he's like."

Remy lowered his eyes, falling into a heavy silence. He knew Justin's ways better than anyone. The man was a complete psychopath—a perverted, maniacal demon.

Jasper finished dressing Remy's wound. Suddenly, his voice turned grim. "There are a few things I'd like to clarify with you."

"Justin might be a psychotic demon, but Sheryl being his lover? Not even close."

A subtle smirk flashed across Remy's face as he continued, "She's just like me—a weapon he keeps under his control. Once he has used her and squeezed her dry, he would abandon her like a piece of trash, or even destroy her."

Jasper nodded, pondering deeply. Truth be told, he was simply seeking confirmation of the hypotheses he and Alyssa had formed.

As a sharp and intelligent woman, Alyssa had already suspected that Sheryl was Liana. Thus, she had advised him to be wary of her.

Though unbeknownst to Alyssa, there was no way he could ever be interested in any other woman other than Alyssa herself.
