Chapter 309: Chapter 309 The Security Footage

Joseph’s POV

Flora came to stand beside Eleanor, her face streaked with tears, looking at her father with horror, disappointment, and pain in her eyes.

"I never thought you’d be like this. Everyone said you were this despicable, but I refused to believe it because you’re my father..." Flora sobbed. "But what I just witnessed is enough to make me believe you’re even worse than people say. Never step foot in my home again, and don’t contact me or my family. My father is dead to me—you’re just someone I hate now."

Flora turned toward my office, but the bastard didn’t know when to shut up and started to speak again.

"As if..."

I knew he was about to say something terrible to her, so I grabbed him by the collar and slammed him against the wall, my hand around his throat. My eyes flashed with a golden glow as Dean’s anger merged with mine.

"Don’t you dare!" I growled through clenched teeth, my voice deepening with the unmistakable tone of an Alpha command.

"Eleanor, can I throw this idiot out?"

"You should, Joseph. Thank you!" Eleanor turned toward my sister.

"Throw this piece of trash into the gutter," I told security, my voice still carrying the weight of command. "If he insists on causing trouble, have him removed. Inform everyone that if he shows up causing problems again, kick him out of the building and call the authorities."

The security guards each grabbed one of Steward’s arms and dragged him out. Julia emerged from the pantry with a bottle of brandy and four glasses.

"Tea won’t calm anyone’s nerves after that," Julia said as she and Eleanor walked toward my office.

"Can we come in?" Eleanor asked, poking her head in. My sister and I were sitting on the couch embracing, and we motioned for them to enter.

"Come on, everyone, one drink each and our calm will be restored," Julia said as she poured four glasses of cognac.

We each took a glass, toasted, and downed our drinks. Julia poured a second round before sitting down. Flora began to laugh nervously, and soon we all joined in. In that moment, the laughter and alcohol actually helped us relax and eased some of the tension.

"Thank you, Eleanor! You were amazing," Flora said, reaching out to hold Eleanor’s hand.

"Flora, I’m so sorry you two have to go through this," Eleanor said sincerely.

"Thank you. But it’s good in a way. I finally see him for who he really is. I almost did what he wanted," Flora sighed. "Joseph, I’m sorry, and if you want, you can cut off his allowance."

"Don’t apologize, Flora," I said, taking her hand. "But I won’t stop his allowance, at least not now. We’re not like him, as Eleanor said."

Seeing them so sad broke my heart. But they would be okay; they were good people surrounded by love and kindness.

"Flora, why did you come here?" I asked.

"I wanted to talk to you, but let’s do it another time. I can’t handle it right now," Flora said.

"Alright. Flora, I’ve been called to the social club. Do you know what that’s about?" I asked, and she shook her head. "Well, I have to go. Should I call Scott to pick you up?"

"Oh no, I don’t need Scott. My driver is waiting downstairs," Flora said, finishing the last of her brandy. "I’ll go down with you."

"What happened?" I cut straight to the chase.

"Alpha Joseph, your father has been reported for sexual harassment by multiple women." Alexander didn’t sugar coat it. "You know as well as I do that most of the women who come here are daughters of Alphas or Betas from various packs. This has seriously damaged your pack’s reputation."

My blood started boiling. "How many reports?"

"Five official complaints, plus one incident where the victim didn’t want to file a formal report, but we’ve got the whole thing on camera. Beta Jared handled that one personally." Alexander nodded toward Jared.

I whipped around to face Jared. "When the hell did this happen?"

"About a week ago, Alpha Joseph. I had to step in when Alpha Steward was... getting inappropriate with a young woman. She asked us not to involve you." Jared chose his words carefully.

"Who was she?" I asked, even though my gut was already telling me the answer.

Alexander and Jared shared one of those looks. "You should probably see the footage yourself," Alexander said, pulling up the video on his computer.

The screen lit up showing Ava coming out of the women’s bathroom. My father intercepted her, shoving her against the wall. She fought fiercely, telling him to back off, but he grabbed her anyway and tried to force a kiss on her. Thank Goddess Beta Jared showed up when he did.

But what really made my blood run cold was seeing Sophia in the background, clear as day, snapping photos with her phone.

I checked the timestamp on the video. It matched perfectly with those photos Sophia had sent me.
