Chosen By The Cursed Alpha King (Emilia) novel Chapter 211

DAMIEN’S POV

The alarm hadn’t even gone off yet, but Rose was already bouncing around the bedroom like a live wire.

“Oh my God, I’m going to be late for class!” she cried, voice high with panic as she hopped on one foot white trying to pull on her jeans. “I heard the professor is super strict—he locks the door at eight sharp! Or he docks points if you’re even a minute late!”

She spun toward me, hair a wild halo of curls, eyes wide with panic. “This is your fault. If you hadn’t kept me up all night-”

I leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed, a lazy grin spreading across my face. “You asked for it, baby. Begged, actually.”

She shot me a glare that would’ve been scary if her cheeks weren’t still flushed from everything we’d done just hours ago. “Not helping!”

She turned back to the mirror, wrestling her curls into a messy ponytail that somehow still looked perfect.

I walked up behind her, sliding my hands around her waist, pressing a kiss to the spot just below her ear that always made her shiver.

“How do I look?” she asked, meeting my eyes in the reflection.

“Perfect,” I said, voice low. “Always.”

She rolled her eyes, but the smile tugging at her lips gave her away. “Let’s go. Hurry!”

She grabbed her backpack and practically dragged me out of the bedroom.

I chuckled, following her out of the bedroom and down the stairs. She was practically bouncing with nervous energy, checking her phone every two seconds.

We made it to the car in record time. She slid into the passenger seat, already checking her phone once again.” Forty minutes before class. I hope I make it.”

“You will,” I said, pulling out of the driveway.

The drive was quiet in that comfortable way only we had – her fidgeting with her bag strap, me stealing glances at her legs in those tight jeans.

My hand was laced with hers as I occasionally brought it to my lips, because her presence alone was enough to calm the storm inside me.

“Hey, relax,”I said, because she was bouncing her legs nervously. “You’ll make it right on time,” she shot me a glare muttering “All your fault.” And I couldn’t help but chuckle. When we reached the campus gates, she was out the doorbefore I’d even fully stopped.

Then the door flew open again. She leaned back in, grabbed my shirt, and kissed me hard-quick, fierce, full of everything we didn’t have time to say.

“Bye! Have a safe trip. Say hi to Emilia for me!”

She was gone again, backpack bouncing as she sprinted up the steps.

I laughed, shaking my head.

Then I remembered.

I rolled the window down. “Rose!”

She turned halfway up the steps.

“James will pick you up later.”

She frowned, jogging back a few steps.

“Who’s James?”

“Your personal driver.”

Her eyeş widened. “Okay, okay, bye! I love you!”

“I love you too,” I called after her.

A soft laugh. “Guess what?”

“Scarlett—”

“We talked to some people,” she cut in, voice dripping with satisfaction. “People who actually want to make money.

People with influence.«

My grip tightened on the wheel.

“And you know what?” she continued. “We’re going to get our hands on that property. Real soon.”

The world narrowed to a single point of rage.

‘ “What did you just say?”

“You heard me,” she said, almost singsong. “With or without your help.”

The line went dead.

I stared at the road ahead, blood roaring in my ears.

They thought they could take our sacred land.

They thought they could touch what was ours.

They were wrong.

Dead wrong.
