Claimed By My Husband's Enemy novel Chapter 10

Chapter 10

Chapter 10

(Eli)

The Grim Reaper. That was what my tormentor looked like today in his dark shirt and trousers in the same color. He looked very expensive with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. Like he would wine and dine women first before taking their souls. And maybe women would let him do it. Because he also looked absurdly charismatic.

“Should I be crying then, Mr. Black? I didn’t know you were into that.”

Come to think of it. I’d done that already and more. In less than twenty-four hours, I’d embarrassed myself so much. I’d laughed, cried, screamed, became hysterical, and lost my mind. Even now, while looking at him, I felt like my sanity was slipping away. How could someone like him be real? If I go back to my world after a month and tell anyone about this, would they believe me?

But judging from how the girls reacted strongly to people like me finding out about their existence, I might die as soon as I open my mouth.

Dale and Creed’s conversation while we were in the car crossed my mind. Project X seemed to have something to do with the shifters. For some reason, Landon seemed to have known about them although he had no idea that he had already encountered two of them through the billionaire he despised. Their existence was a secret I was never supposed to find

out.

“If I tell you to cry, will you cry, Elianna?” Creed asked instead.

“Maybe. But that would be after I bite you.”

If mom was here and would hear me talk back to someone who could snap my neck without breaking a sweat, she would freak out and would tell me that I had lost my sense of danger. But I’d been in danger since I met this man.

The more I looked at him, the more I realized that wherever I go, I would still be in danger. Whether in this alpha’s hands or in my husband’s. They had already taken my freedom to leave. I couldn’t let these men keep taking more things from me. Like my freedom to say what I want. My freedom to think and feel.

“You are going to bite me? Really?”

“I don’t have teeth as strong as yours, but I swear I will make it hurt, Mr. Black.”

My threats had an opposite effect on him. Amusement crossed his eyes. “I would love to see you try.” As if testing me, he sat beside me and bent down, his thumb now caressing my mouth. “Cry for me, Elianna.”

My lips parted. I put his thumb inside my mouth. Without taking my eyes off him, I sank my teeth in his flesh. Hard.

I watched as Creed’s gray eyes darkened in an instant. He was staring at me intently as if he was encouraging me to go as wild as I liked. He didn’t stop me, and I didn’t let go until the metallic taste of blood spread inside my mouth although when I released his thumb with a pop, a new taste exploded in my tongue.

Sweet.

His blood tasted surprisingly sweet.

I saw my mark in his thumb, forming a ring around it. Although seeing the heat in his gaze, it clearly did not hurt as badly as I wanted. He stared at the mark.

“You started it,” I said defensively as Creed’s eyes wandered back to me, to my face, down to my upper body. Because I was wet from swimming, I knew he could see the tips of my breasts through the thin fabric of my shirt. My bra couldn’t hide my now stiff nipples that I swore had nothing to do with this man and had everything to do with the cold wind. “Elianna, if there is one thing you need to remember about me, it’s the fact that I give back what I receive thrice as much-”

Before Creed could finish his sentence or threat, I was up on my feet. He let me put several steps between us while watching me with that mysterious glint in his eyes. He was the one sitting on the sand while I was the one standing and yet, under the setting sun, he looked more predatory.

“Get dressed and come down by seven. Join me for dinner.”

His eyes challenged me to contradict him again and I didn’t. Something was telling me that I wouldn’t like what would happen if I said no.

“Anything else, Mr. Black?”

“You have met Shanty, haven’t you? She will com Successfully unlocked! s anything else you need, clothes, shoes, jewelry, toiletries, and if you have a specific brand in mind, tell her we all have them delivered as soon as possible.”

I swallowed. What was I supposed to say to that? Thank you? Because I honestly didn’t know. I didn’t even know how to

put a name to what we were.

This felt like Creed was buying me all over again.

“Would that be all, Mr. Black?” was all I managed to say.

He smirked. “That would be all for now, Vicious. I’ll see you at dinner.”

Vicious.

I was promoted. From little rabbit, my nickname improved although I think I’d prefer vicious over that. Somehow, it gave my pride a slight boost. After a while, I shook my head, unsure what to think about anymore.

Twenty minutes before seven, Shanty knocked on my door with a tablet in hand. The tab was open, giving me a glimpse of the last thing she researched and it was… Twilight.

I fought back my smile as she made me type whatever I needed during my stay here. I listed everything including a few packs of sanitary pads and my favorite snacks. Upon seeing the last item on the list, her mouth formed a big 0. Again, she was giving me that strange look before giggling and then covering her mouth as if she hated the fact that she just did it in front of me.

Shanty cleared her throat and was back to her poker face again. “Alright. I’ll make sure you have the items very soon. See you again, Elianna.”

“Just Eli. Since it looks like we’ll be meeting each other often, please call me Eli.”

I could now offer my nickname because she didn’t look like she wanted to attack me anymore.

She nodded. “Alright, Eli. I’ll make sure to bring all the items tomorrow. If you’re ready, you can come down anytime. The alpha doesn’t like waiting.”

Was I ready? Of course, I wasn’t.

Every encounter with any of them, especially their alpha, made me crazy with tension. Creed made me do things I hadn’t done before. Like biting someone. I’d become violent although he looked like a happy victim.

By seven, I forced my feet to move. The big, bad wolf was already there in the same clothes from a while ago, sitting like a king at the head of the long table fit for twelve. And he was alone. He motioned the seat on his left. I sat quietly next to him.

I thought Lizbeth and the others would join us based on the number of foods served, but no one else came.

“Where are the others?” I asked when we started eating. I fought the urge to moan as the rich taste of beef steak exploded in my mouth.

“Gone.”

“What do you mean?”

“There will be a few people who will come every day to prepare the meals,” he replied while eating with the kind of grace that could only be seen in royalties. “Two servants will visit every other day to clean the house, but they will leave after they are done with their job, which means that it’s just you and me here tonight and all the nights to come, Vicious.”

A chill slithered down my spine.

Somehow, being alone with Creed sounded far more dangerous than being with his pack.

“By the way, Shanty had already ordered the items on your list. They will be here in two days except for the dildo,” Creed added casually while sipping on his red wine, making me choke on my food. “You are not going to need that when you are with me.”
