Claimed by the Biker Giant (Maxine and Tank) novel Chapter 110

Maxine/Fixer POV

The soft knock on the door woke me. It was around five am, the sun was slowly lighting the sky, but had not yet risen over the horizon. A happy-looking Prez smiled at me as I answered the door, glad I thought to grab a robe, before answering, or he might have gotten to see more than he would have expected.

“Hey, last night was the most soundly I have slept in years, thank you for including Sticks and me in your home. What’s the plan today?” I informed Prez what I had planned, and he gave me a message for Tank.

“Don’t go to town alone. If Tank can’t go get one of two of the boys with you, I might assign a couple to be available when you need to go out, just like I do for Sticks. Never can be too careful. Maybe Blaze can be your bodyguard; he doesn’t have a permanent assignment, at present, helps with the bar, and tags along with Zero most of the time.

As he lives here, it might be a good choice, won’t look out of place either, if he tags along when Jenny goes with you.” It felt strange having others worry about my safety. I have never been cared for as much as I have since Tank took me to his bed on that first day.

Not since Grandpa died, and I was all alone, well, except for Jenny, had anyone cared about my safety, and now I have a whole slew of guys who want to protect my back; it was still something I was getting used to. Also, Prez asked what I was doing; he didn’t sound like he was trying to order me about or get me to change it. He sounded genuinely interested and wanted to make sure I was safe.

“Sure, I will have to look at bodyguards, I guess. When others find out that I have some money, they attempt a kidnapping or some other form of crime in an attempt to gain quick money. Tandy was already talking about that; he had assigned some guys for the previous tenant.

I was more concerned with out-of-towners suddenly showing up. Will get portfolios on the staff, so you and the others will recognise them when they are here and what they are meant to be doing.” Prez nodded before disappearing down the hall. Not long after that, I heard his bike start up and slowly head down the driveway.

A long shower, shaving my legs, armpits, and lady parts, and I was ready for the day. In a good mood, after another dream-free night, I made coffee, glancing at the sleeping lump on the bed, and glad he was still sleeping, he often has to leave on a quick run, for some reason or other, and comes back exhausted, I am glad for the nights he gets to stay all night.

Even Prez looks well rested, and I hope he gets more nights like that, maybe moving out of the clubhouse, puts him slightly out of reach, and they can learn to do some things themselves instead of being micro-managed.

Tank was awake and watching me, as I finished tidying up, putting the milk back in the fridge, I had done some shopping yesterday, for our fridge, today I hope to do a larger grocery shop, fill the frigde and freezers up, the girls can do their own fridge, I am not going to be running around making sure theirs was restocked, they can do that themselves, I put the basic in the fridge downstairs, it up to them from there, I don’t intend to do cooking up here, maybe toast at best.

Tank didn’t appear to want to use my body; just happy to hold me. I am more than happy for him to do that, as we talked. Tank had a few things to do at the club, then he will join me on the trip to town, and will ask Jenny later if she wants to do some shopping while I am with Tandy. If Prez assigns Blaze to be my bodyguard, I wonder if he can keep his mind on the job if Jenny were with me, and if in danger, would he leave me to protect her first? So many negatives to having Blaze as my bodyguard. I might have to think about that more and talk to Tank. Once I have thought it through, I know if it were between Jenny and me, Tank would choose me, if in danger, even if he was given the job to protect Jenny. It’s only natural you want to protect what’s yours.

I understand this, and would expect nothing less, no way would Blaze or Tank protect someone over the one the love, plus in most situations, I can look after myself, I am not bullet proof, but one on one, and even two, on one, I can hold my own, I am quick, and trained, Jenny has little training, I gave her some basic self defence, and places that are vulnerable to a man, she just not that coordinated, and tends to panick, when under that sort of pressure. I feel for Jenny, she freezes instead of fighting, part of the bullying she had from her family, her father was abusive, which was why she couldn’t protect herself, years of ingrained attitude from her father, where she had to stand and take it, makes it hard for her to do anything else, it was hard wired in her brain.

“Thanks, I have an appointment in town. I will drop you off at the shopping center, and go to my meeting, then come find you. We can get some new things for the place. I want new sheets and towels, more food, and to fill that freezer and that pantry. Think about what we want, and we can bulk buy. Gotta go.” Tank and I left them to eat. I followed Tank and waited outside the garage as he started his bike and brought it out to me. I was getting used to being on the back, enjoying it far more than I had expected. Maybe it was the cuddling his back, playing on his stomach, and being able to fondle with him when he least expected it. Love it when I shock him with the little things I do.

He was fun to play with, and making him laugh was my greatest joy. Outside of the bedroom, that is.

But then in the bedroom all gloves are off, since he found places that I didn’t know I was ticklish, and I am trying to find somewhere on his body that was, but he appears he doesn’t, so only on the bike, and doing something he doesn’t expect, makes him laugh, or squirm, making being on the back, more interesting. Nothing too dangerous, I won’t put us in that kind of situation.

Tank, parked next to my bike.

I started her up and, when happy, rode back next door, where it will be housed. No need to ride it next door all the time.

I can walk here once we open a gate between the two. Want a real one, with security on it. One with thumbprint access or something will have to negotiate that with Prez.
