Tank POV
The members put up many walls; none felt they could trust again, for they feared they could be betrayed again.
I get it, I really do.
Bruiser had been my friend since we could crawl, grew up together, and went to school together. Prez, Blaze, and Zero all feel the same; Bruiser was hot the same, not since Cricket came into his life and trapped him. If they let him back, they will be very cautious around him, and all voted a big fat NO to Cricket. If he comes back, he comes alone, and that was still a big if.
‘The members voted to agree on some coming back, with conditions. The first was not to allow them to live in the clubhouse again; the second was to give them tasks to do, like they were noms again. They had other suggestions, but not all were something we would implement. It was just plain nasty, but I get that, too; they feel the knife in the back. They trust our leadership, and those who jumped ship, more or less, said they didn’t trust the true leadership team.
“Prez, just received a text from Fixer, Cricket, and Zoey were sisters, and their dad is ‘The accountant,’ from the Jones gang. The spite against our club dates back to our parents’ day, or even further. Tandy and Uncle Simon are looking deeper into this.” I say, as I keep getting messages from Fixer.
“Fixer just watched the security video of last night, and said we are in for some laughs.” I continued after my phone vibrated again.
“Can you bring the video here? I am positive that the rest of the gang would be happy to see it, too,” Jinx called out, gaining laughs from the guys in agreement.
“Will see what I can do, should be able to.” I texted Back, asking about getting the video over here for the member to see. We all want to know what went on at the gate.
My phone vibrated, and I was shocked to read it. Zoey was dead. Cricket will go ballistic when she finds out, so will the Jones gang.
“Keep it quiet, we don’t want others to know yet, no till the Jones issue is fixed.” I text back, fingers flying so fast, I made a few typos but didn’t stop to correct them.
“Problem?” Zero asked, searching my face.
“Keep this to yourself,” I whisper, lifting my phone for him to take and read the messages.
He whistled at what he read, which had others staring at him. Handed my phone back.
“Fixer will be giving you some extra cuddles tonight” Wiggling his brow at me.
This had the room chuckling, knowing how we are with our woman, and assuming something different.
Good cover-up, I thought when he looked at me, with a knowing smile.
We had lunch, made by the ladies here; they did well, cleaning up the mess the guys left yesterday. The atmosphere was higher than yesterday, now that we had hashed out some guidelines for any returning members.
