Claimed by the Biker Giant (Maxine and Tank) novel Chapter 164

Fixer POV

They received the news of the helicopter being here soon, very well, I had to remind them that it was for emergencies only, and for my use, no joyriding, and of course, for Sticks if something went wrong, or that was my plan, I didn’t like how hard this pregnancy was going for her. We were all watching her closely. Only five weeks to go, close enough to live, but it would still be a struggle; we don’t need it right now.

We tried to give only positive news and stories. Jenny had brought Sticks’ new PJs to wear now, giving room for her growing belly. It was covered in motorcycles, tricycles, and love hearts. It was cute and made Sticks squeal with joy and laugh at the design.

Melony went downstairs, made lunch, and brought it back up here to eat. I moved to the mini fridge and pulled out the container of chicken soup I had made, and heated some up. I only put half a bowl, knowing that if it was full, she would complain the whole time it was too much. Better to give her small amounts often; I can get her to eat more that way.

The Nurse checked on her before she ate, and then again after, keeping a close eye on her blood pressure. If it was too high, we would be kicked out and she would be forced to rest up for an hour or so before we could return.

“Ladies, time for my patient to get some rest.” We didn’t argue, gave Sticks a hug, and left, promising to be back soon. I took the dirty dishes with me and headed to the kitchen. Jenny followed me, while Melony went to her room.

“I am worried about Sticks; her blood pressure was too high, and she needs to be in the hospital. We can only do so much here.” Jenny helped clean up the kitchen. Melony was not exactly one to clean up as she went into the kitchen, and more often than not, came back when the kitchen was clean. Think she does it deliberately, and I will be talking to her soon, because she needs to pull her weight in all areas. We are not here to clean up after her, and it doesn’t take much to put the bread away and butter back in the fridge.

“Yeah, I tried a few times, but she wants to be near Prez, with all that was going down, even though we are keeping the worst from her, she insists that being near Prez helps her. I am not so sure about that, but what can we do but what we have? We have the nurse here, and our club doctor is popping in nearly every day. He says hospital, then I will tie her up and drag her there if I have to.” I reply as we finish wiping down the bench, and Melony walks in.

“Thanks, ladies, I was coming down to do….” She didn’t get to finish.

Before I can say a word, Jenny jumps in.

“You do this all the time, make the food, and leave all this mess, you are asking for bugs and ants to invade our home, if you are going to make food, clean up as you go, if you need someone to show you how, then ask, we are not here to do your bidding, and if you don’t want to do it, say so, and I am sure Zero would happily move out, and into where you lived for this place. Or maybe he won’t, but you can’t keep doing this because it’s not fair on us, and poor Sticks, when she has this baby, doesn’t need to walk into a messy kitchen and clean up before she can do what she came into the kitchen to do. Get into good habits now, or leave.” I was a little shocked at how blunt and brutal Jenny was. Yes, she had always been on to give her thoughts, but wow. I didn’t know it was eating away at her like this.

“I..I.. I am sorry.” Melony looked as shocked as I was and looked at me for help, but I wasn’t going to say a word.

“I will do better.” Melony eventually sighed.

Dirk entered the kitchen and looked at me.

“Miss Fixer, can we talk?” I left the girls in the kitchen, hoping they don’t kill each other while I am gone.

He didn’t take me to the office, but walked to the helipad and the hangar.

“Why no door?” I asked softly. It looked odd.

“Venterlation, we don’t expect theft here, no need to put it under lock and key, but if you feel better, we can enclose it.” Ilooked at it for a while.

“I will leave that to your judgment; security was your area, not mine,” I replied, shrugging my shoulders and putting the whole thought behind me.

“As you wish.” He didn’t appear offended.

“The team informed me that they have collected the first four of the Jones gang, and are bringing them in now, should arrive any minute, everything so far was going as planned.”

“Good, will they gather all twelve?” I thought of the cells, and they have room for a lot more than twelve, especially if they put more than one in a cell

“Yes, your husband was with Stephen, the lead in this adventure, and will take out the accountant in about ten minutes; they are waiting for them to park up. It appears that they are meeting up at that roadside parking just out of town, perfect for us, and the township residents will think they have left town, and they are safe again.” I knew where he meant, often a place for truckies to pull over and check their loads, ensure they had not shifted before the long trip.
