Claimed by the Biker Giant (Maxine and Tank) novel Chapter 272

Storm POV

Cloe was at our great-grandparents’ home. I miss her more than I thought I would when I agreed that she could go and stay there. Gramps had everything Cloe needed, and had organised therapy when Grams sleeps. It’s been only a week, and I want to call her all the time. I found it difficult to sleep without her in my arms.

Today, Mia was gone, for good. The Prez kept her a little longer than we liked, but he had more questions; he wanted answers before he released her. We have sent the evidence that Alan needed to pull in Cloe’s Dad and his four friends. Yes, four. Cloe only mentioned three, but there were four tied together in contracts and shipments of arms and drugs. Alan had informed us that the men are out on bail and have had their passports confiscated, but he doesn’t trust them not to make a run for it. Plus, this was a federal case covering more than one state, so he had to share it with the feds. Alan feels that the men might have a target on their backs now; they know too much. It was Alan’s way of suggesting that if we were going to take the men, now would be a good time.

Dad, Uncle Simon, and Grampa Sayage have made plans; the five will end up in our cells, below our place, not next door in the clubs, Uncle Simon didn’t like the way Prez tried to take over, and push his authority, if it on our land, he can’t push for the power, unsure why Prez did that, he was not one for power before, and that had raise our alert button. We don’t think Prez is dirty, but he has some other agenda going on, possibly a friend has died from an overdose, or something like that, it would explain his pushing so hard to find the drugs more than pushing for the guns.

Tonight we are taking one of the men who was at a party. As we speak, our men are in position. When the man comes out of the party and heads home, we will take him. The route had already been planned, and unless he goes somewhere or brings home someone, we will have him. There was a lot that could go wrong, but our men were experienced in this, and I have high hopes success. The others are at the party too, but we selected this one because he was single an weak link, according to our spy.

I didn’t have much to do with this side of things. Dad was happy I had already had a taste, and he would leave the professionals to collect. Our involvement starts when they reach the cells. If we can get more information that Alan can use, all the better.

That was my goal, not sure about anyone else’s. I want the law to do its part, then when the guy gets released after doing his time, he can look at him getting into an accident or something. I am in for the long haul. Let him suffer a little bit first; death was too good for these men. Dad had listened to my ideas but never commented, so I had no idea whether he agreed.

Another week has gone by, and men have arrived in the cells, questioned. Alan gained more evidence against Cloe’s Dad; he will be going down for a long time if the evidence can be used, and I don’t see why it can’t. We had News of Grams was grim; she was now totally bedridden, and I was concerned for Cloe and how she was handling all this. I want to be there for her, but I can only stay for a day before leaving. Mum managed to stay overnight once, but had to return. Grams didn’t recognise her, and staying only upset her. So Gramps asked Mum to stay away, and she could visit by staying away from Gramps. Only Gramps and Cloe could be with her for any length of time; even the doctors and nurses had trouble with her until she became bedridden and lost all fight in her.

All four men have had their time in our cells, and divulged more and more information on the goings on with Cloe’s Dad; he will have a huge target on his back; his contacts won’t like that Cloe’s dad has been arrested, and with the other four disappeared, or should I say guests of our cells. Cloe’s Dad was panicking, and so were his contacts. The more he worries and is scared, the better. I hope they take him before he has to go to court and give him a good beating.

If I weren’t so worried about Cloe, I might have enjoyed this news more than I do. I need to hold my babe. Let her know that I am thinking of her; texting doesn’t really show it. The words on a phone are not enough.

It was late afternoon when Dad received the call; Grams was gone. All my thoughts were on Gramps and Cloe; my Babe was in the room with her when she passed on, which was both good and bad news. I need to see my girl and how she was holding up, but I was told to wait for the funeral to see her.

It took three rings for Cloe to answer her phone, and her sweet voice graced my ear.

“Hello Storm, I have missed you.” Cloe’s need for me was as strong as mine. I could hear it in her voice.

“Hi, I have missed you too.” My voice was husky, as if I hadn’t used it in a while.

“When will I see you again?” Her voice wavered as Cloe talked to me.

Hey, stop running before you can walk, find out what Cloe wants first, then work out what to do from there.

Gramps took off, pushing Cloe again; she was his shield.

“Storm tomorrow, we need to discuss some things, with Cloe now having ownership of that house, you might need some new options. I have some for you to think about. Dad’s office, tomorrow after breakfast, we will discuss this then.” Mum said and turned to leave.

“Penny will be happy receiving those jewels she always wanted,” I say as I get in step with Mum.

“Yes, that she will, and some of the staff will be happy for their generosity. Grams has shown.

Gramps is moving in with us, so the staff need to decide whether they want to stay on with Cloe as the new boss. Over the next few weeks, there will be a lot of changes around both homes.”

Later that night, I was holding Cloe, trying to get into her head, but she was too tired to go too deep, and I was so happy to be holding her like this that I didn’t push it.
