Chapter 320
Skunk POV
It didn’t shock me that Doom got the girl.
We rushed it, fought over Tracey for her attention, and that was all wrong, putting us both out of contention. I should have known, by the way, that Tracey was trying to remove us from touching her, that it was the wrong thing to do, but my need to beat Sprocket was clouding my judgment, and Doom, who sat back and watched us be idiots, reaped the rewards of a lovely girl. He deserved to have a woman in his life; we all do. As much as I hate to say that, for all the years ! have banged and left, never once considering the chick, I was banging. I had expected to have been caught out by now, and get stuck with a woman I don’t love and a kid as a result of a broken condom, or something close to that. Dad had berated me for years for my reckless, heartless ways.
Last night in Storm’s room in the clubhouse, it was like old times for the four of us. I am glad the lockdown is over, and maybe we will get a chance to go for a ride soon. I missed having fun with my brothers.
While standing with Doom and the others, watching the girls arrive, the most beautiful girl I had
ever seen walked in, proudly, and to me, she owned the room right then. I had never met her
before, but she looked a lot like Wrench, maybe a sister or something. I wanted, no! Need to find
out more, this girl had my d**k twitching, like I hadn’t been with anyone in a long time. Which was
BS, because I have a few ladies in town who enjoy a good time in bed and know there’s nothing
more to offer than a quick romp between the sheets. I don’t have club girls anymore; they became
too needy.
“Dibs,” I whispered to Sprocket, who shrugged his shoulders, but had this smirk on his face that
said otherwise.
I watched her all through the ceremony. Her eyes caught mine, and she smiled, but didn’t linger; that was sad, but I will change that. I want all her smiles to be mine and on me. I didn’t want to bed her and leave, which surprised me; she had piqued my interest and was someone I wanted to get to know better, possibly be friends with. Something about her draws me in, and I want to investigate that feeling. Was this how Storm and Doom felt? That idea scares me a little. I have never paid much mind to who I was banging, just getting my fix, but I don’t feel that way towards this girl, and I don’t even know her name yet, and now I am repeating myself. One look, and this girl has me in knots, thinking the same thing over and over again.
Doom gave Fingers her cut; she looks good in it. Prez came forward, shook his hand, and slapped him on the shoulder. His mum cried,” That’s Sticks for you. She wears her heart on her sleeve, even at sports events, when one of the kids scores and makes an achievement, the tears appear. We

have got used to it now. If the tears don’t come, I think we would all be worried.

The beauty stayed near Wrench and Jip and didn’t pay much attention to those around. I watched as Sprocket approached; he must have introduced himself, because she shook his hand, and when Sprocket wasn’t looking, she wiped her hand on her jeans. I chuckled softly as I was handed a bottle of water. I wasn’t drinking yet. If I start too soon, I will be drunk before dark, and that’s not something I want to happen today.
A young boy, around three years old, came in; he couldn’t get through the crowd to whoever his mother was, so he sat down next to me.
“Hello, what’s your name?” I asked with a smile. I didn’t mind kids. I have been around a lot and
babysat a few times.
“Dan.” He looked at me for a moment before deciding that my lap looked safe and climbed onto my lap and snuggled in. I wrapped my arms around him to make him feel safe and secure.
I carried young Dan to the table, and he pointed to a few items, and I filled a plate with his choice and a few of mine, grabbed a juice, and somehow managed to juggle the children in my arm, and the plate, napkins, in one hand, and the juice in my pocket.
“He came and sat with me, we got to talking, and in the end, he said he was hungry and couldn’t reach the food. We loaded up a plate and went out here, away from the noisy crowd, to have our lunch. The main doors will open soon, and this place will get even busier, though I had a better
chance of keeping Dan safe from being trampled on out here.” As I finished my spiel, Dan pushed
his half–eaten chicken nugget into my mouth.
“Hey, buddy, can you dip the nuggets in the sauce next time before you feed me?” I asked softly, and Dan grabbed another nugget, dipped it in the sauce, ate the end with the sauce, and gave me the part without sauce. Well, I did ask him to dip it in sauce, so I can’t blame him for not getting
what I wanted.
“Good one.” I chuckled, and Dan grabbed another nugget, took a bite, then dipped it in the sauce and fed me. He had only one nugget left, so Dan dipped it in sauce and gave me the whole nugget.
“You are good with him; no one finds the time to sit, as you have, and eat his half–chewed food. Most see that as gross,” Pip said, not attempting to take him from me, but watching us interact.
“I have a nephew about his age, and he loves to feed me. If I refused and said it was yucky, wouldn’t that give a small child the wrong impression, like, why would I be forcing him to eat something I didn’t think was nice? It would look wrong if you tried to instil sharing without taking a bite or sharing what you have with him. You need to share without thought or prejudice.” It didn’t hurt me letting the lad feed me his half–eaten portion. I have a strong stomach that can take
almost anything.
