Claimed by the Biker Giant (Maxine and Tank) novel Chapter 36

Chapter 361

Sprocket POV

Storm was very accommodating, and it was his idea to use the chopper; Tempest agreed. Storm had been angry, not at us, and had apologised, sort of, to me for his abrupt tone. When he was speaking with Skittles, he felt so bad about it afterwards, but presidents don’t apologise to anyone, so a partial apology meant a lot to me. I think the chopper was part of his guilt and an attempt to smooth things over. I would never call him out on it. You don’t do that to your president, not over something like this. If I saw something that needed correction, I would address it as a friend. He was new to that role, but he does a great job, and the pressure can be a lot at times.

Skittles and Stinger were both pacing the floor, walking from the bar to the front door of the clubhouse for his arrival, they couldn’t sit down too wired up.

The police had arrived about ten minutes ago and were in Storm’s office talking about the shooting; hopefully, that woman hadn’t brought trouble to the club in her death. It wouldn’t surprise me. She’s the sort that, even in death, will give you the bird, the middle finger, the up yours,

whatever you want to call it.

I was more concerned about the police. What could they possibly be talking about? It’s not like we even knew where the woman was. We knew she had left her home, but had no idea where she was going, and where her bodyguards, the ones that came with her and her bed warmer. Skittles refused to think of him as anything more than that.

Skittles did everything by the book, took one look at the victims and backed off, informing the police and her boss of her relationship. Skittles touched nothing, so they can’t say she

contaminated any evidence.

The more I thought about it, and the longer they were in that office, the more my worry grew.

The sounds of a bike coming up the drive, and Skittles and Stinger on their feet, moving to the door. We received a text that the chopper had landed, was unloading Bonkers and his bike, and would be here shortly. Tempest’s trike rolled in, along with six other bikes, and one of them had to be Bonkers‘. I don’t know what he looked like, so I couldn’t tell which one was him. I know the other five were her bodyguards. Storm would never let her ride alone. Tempest was lucky he didn’t put more security on her, like the rest of us; we are protective of our women, and with her injury, more so. She would be deemed an easy target, but they would be wrong; she was a fierce woman who

would fight to her last breath. I noticed that most of us have found ladies who have had a hard life

but still come out beautiful.

Skittles and Stinger were in a group hug, just outside the door. I leaned on the wall, my left foot

resting on my right, watching them. It was a heartfelt moment, seeing them so happy, the reunion

long overdue.

They broke apart, and Skittles looked around till she found me and beamed a megawatt smile.

“Dad, I would like to introduce you to my… boyfriend. Sprocket, my dad, Bonkers.” I held out my hand to shake his, and he grabbed my forearm and dragged me in for a hug, and thumped me on

my back. I had noticed her hesitation in calling me her boyfriend.

“Welcome, Bonkers. I would take you to meet Storm, but he’s busy right now.” I didn’t get to say

much more before Bonkers interrupted

“The police, I know, the police are waiting for me to arrive, son, can you take me to them?” He didn’t appear at all concerned about the police.

“Sure.”

“Dad, we will take your bags to your room.” Skittles beamed, turning back to Tempest to thank her for bringing him here.

I led Bonkers to the back and knocked on Storm’s office door.

“Enter.” I pushed the door open and stood to one side, letting Bonkers in.

“Storm, Bonkers.” I moved to leave.

“Stay,” Storm called out, stopping me from leaving. I closed the door and turned to lean on it, taking what I hoped was a relaxed pose.

“Bonkers, as you may know by now, your wife was found dead last night. We would have asked you to provide official identification, but since your daughter was at the scene and withdrew because of who the victim was, we don’t need you to see her for identification purposes. You must be proud of that daughter of yours; she will become a top coroner, according to her mentors.” The police chief proudly announced that he didn’t think Skittles was involved in any way; that’s good news. Been worried, they would jump to conclusions.

“I would like to see her all the same if that’s okay?” Bonkers asked, looking at the chief.
