Claimed by the Biker Giant (Maxine and Tank) novel Chapter 90

Maxine POV

Glad that was over, Cricket wore me out, emotionally. It was difficult to know how to approach Cricket. Seh must be confused and in a lot of pain, not just physically, but also with the strong emotions. I don’t blame her for trying too hard and messing up.

The harder she tried, the worse and frustrated she got, till she lost direction completely. I get it, you can be too focused and not see the consequences of your actions.

I was on Tank’s lap again, where I was happy to be, my go-to place lately, when I needed some comfort, and he was always obliging me. He enjoyed carrying me around, not sure what all that’s about, a man thing, I guess. It was calming and peaceful to be in his arms, like this, the birds calling, a gentle breeze, the warmth of his body, giving the feeling of being safe, cared for, something I had longed for so much.

Yeah, I could stay like this and enjoy this feeling, like forever.

I closed my eyes and enjoyed the feeling, the warmth, pushing away all the evil thoughts of the day.

My bladder screamed at me, and my stomach grumbled, both wanting urgent attention.

I was snuggled up to Tank, in bed, and I don’t remember how I got here; obviously, it was Tank, who else? But I didn’t even feel him move me; I must have been exhausted not even to remember moving.

Quickly moved to the bathroom, before I made a mess in the bed, and once I finished, went to the mini fridge and was glad to see some yoghurt in there to give my noisy stomach. I sat and devoured it, like I hadn’t eaten in a week. The kettle boiled while I ate, and I made two coffees, a smile on my face as I went back to the side of the bed, placed my coffee on the side table, and waved Tank’s under his nose.

Today we are one, I will be officially recognised as his one and only woman.

“Morning.” He whispered with a chuckle, opening one eye to look at me, smirking.

“Hi.” I moved back so he could sit up, and then handed the coffee, both enjoying the first few sips of the day.

“What’s on the agenda? Like, will you disappear on me till the ceremony? What time do I need to be downstairs?” Before he could answer, there was a knock at the door. I slipped on my robe and opened the door.

“Good, you are both awake, get up and go across the hall, Prez, Blaze, and Bruiser are there getting ready.” Sticks commanded Tank as she, Jenny, Cricket, and Pins entered the room, taking over and barking out orders.

“You get in the shower, you’ve got ten minutes.” My mouth hung open at how they barged in without prior notice, disrupting a perfect start to the day. I had hoped for a slow start with Tank before the day’s madness began.

“What are you waiting for, scoot?” Sticks said, having put clothes on the chair, and was presently pushing me towards the bathroom.

Tank climbed out of bed, a smirk on his face as he did precisely what Sticks had ordered.

A scream from Pins. “You’re huge!” Her eyes bugged out as she had them glued to his groin and what was hanging there. At least it wasn’t erect.

Gasps from Cricket, covering her eyes, but peeking through them, a smile on her face.

The moment I opened the bathroom door, the girls converged on me faster than a seagull on a chip.

I was pushed to sit on a chair, and then Pins took one of my hands and started on my fingernails, Cricket on my toenails, Jenny on my hair, and Sticks organising them all, as she futtered about making us something to eat and drink.

“Blue or purple?” Pins asked, out loud, as she picked up two nail polish bottles and showed them to Sticks.

“Soft blue.” Sticks replied, pointing to the dress I was to wear, which was hung on the wardrobe door.

It was gorgeous, it was nothing like what Tank had described, and I get the impression that the one that Cricket brought would have been, but Sticks was being kind. The dress was full-length, made of soft-looking material, with a small lace panel at the back that flowed onto the floor, trailing behind me. It was going to get dirty fast, since we were having the ceremony outside. The top was a bodice style with ties in front and lots and lots of lace, which would cover my boo.bs. Hopefully, they don’t pull the ties too tight, so I can still breathe. The full sleeve was also light blue lace with darker blue swirls, trailing down from the wrist for about a foot; my fingers would slide through the finger openings at the end of.

I the sleeve, in the lace, holding it in place. I didn’t see any shoes, so I guessed I would be walking barefoot. I can’t see more till I put it on, but so far, it’s pretty. I love the color.

Jenny opened her box of tricks, which I called her makeup box. It had a separate compartment in it for hair ties and clips, and inside she had four silver clasps with small motorcycles on them; the wheels had blue sapphires.

“I made these for you, knowing one day, you would be part of the club, but I didn’t think it would be so soon.” I took one in my hand, and looked it over, the intricate work she had done, to make these, she makes some beautiful jewalry, something she found she loved to do and had a flair for it, also we were too broke to buy some of the bling we liked so get old broken jewelry for market stalls, and Jenny would pull them apart, melt the metals and start again, She was good at it. I was always on the hunt for broken pieces for her.

She repaired my Grandma’s jewels, which I am so ever grateful for.
