Claimed By The Mafia Don (Ariella and Asher) novel Chapter 150

Chapter 150

My breath caught in my throat, and I just stared, waiting.

“You’ll go with Luca,” he said gently. “It’ll be a little while before I see you again. I have to deal with Alex. He’s… unstable, as you’ve seen. And until I do, I need to know that you’re safe.”

“I’m fine,” I whispered, already feeling my resolve weaken. “I’m okay.”

I walked toward him without even thinking. He pulled me into his arms and held me so tightly I could feel his heartbeat racing against mine. It felt like he couldn’t believe I was real… like we were real. I hugged him back with the same intensity, letting my walls fall for just a second.

This…. this was what I’d wanted to do the moment Alex had left. If only Asher hadn’t torn me apart last night with accusations. If only…

He kissed my forehead, breathing in deeply.

“I wish we had more time,” he murmured. “But we don’t. I have to go.”

I nodded. I understood. I believed him.

“Luca will give you the rest of the instructions,” he said. “Don’t worry. I’ll call you.”

Again, I nodded.

But something about the way he looked at me then made me pause. Like he was holding something back. Like he wanted to say more but didn’t trust himself to say it.

Finally, with a sheepish, dry chuckle, he muttered, “I really wish I had a little more time… so I could fuck you before I leave.”

My body lit up, reckless and alive. God, I was a mess for him.

“What’s stopping you?” I asked, my voice low, teasing and already leaning in.

Our lips met, fierce and hungry. His hands were rough, wild, and eager, already igniting every nerve in my body. My pulse was in chaos, my breath ragged and I didn’t care. I wanted this. I needed this.

But then his phone rang. He groaned in frustration.

“Forget it,” I whispered, tugging him back.

But he pulled away, eyes apologetic. “I’m sorry,” he said. “I just can’t. Not right now. Things are insane right now.”

I nodded, disappointed but understanding. He answered the call.

“I’m on my way,” he said.

Then he turned back to me, eyes holding something tender, something heavy. He kissed me hard, like it was the last time and then he left.

I got into the bathroom, took a long, hot shower and changed into something comfortable. Then I just stood there, not knowing what to do next. I was on edge, waiting for something, anything to happen.

A knock on the door pulled me out of my daze. I walked over and opened it. Maria stood on the other side, calm and composed despite everything.
