Claimed By The Mafia Don (Ariella and Asher) novel Chapter 352

ARIELLA

Leon wouldn’t shut up about Sia.

He was telling everyone, at every single moment, as if they hadn’t already heard. Margaret, of course, mentioned she had cooked for Luca and Sia's parents when they visited the Don, but she didn’t know Sia that well.

So, during lunch, I turned to Maria.

“Maria, do you know Sia? Luca’s sister?”

She had just taken a bite of her food, and immediately she started coughing, non-stop.

“Hey, are you okay?” I asked quickly, handing her a glass of water.

“Yeah, I’m fine,” she said between breaths. “Thank you… Sorry.”

“Sia,” I continued once she settled. “Luca’s sister. Do you know her?”

She shook her head.

“No, no. Luca and his sisters are the Consigliere’s children. How would I have known them? No, I don’t know her.”

“Have you at least heard about her?”

She hesitated slightly. “I don’t know… why do you ask?”

“Of course you know why I ask,” I said, motioning toward Leon, who was fully focused on his food.

“Ah,” she nodded. “The tutor.”

“I’m sure she’s going to be great. Everyone says great things about her. William says she’s always been nice and polite, and Margaret says she’s good.”

She looked at me more closely.

“Why do you ask? Are you thinking of not hiring her? The way Leon keeps talking about her, I thought that was already decided.”

“I don’t know,” I admitted. “I just want to get to know her first. She’s going to be spending a lot of time with Leon, and I want to make sure I have the right person around him.”

Maria nodded thoughtfully.

“Why don’t you invite her for dinner… or lunch? That way we can spend time with her, and you can get to know her better.”

I considered that.

“Yeah,” I said slowly. “That’s actually a great idea. But I want to talk to Asher too. If he thinks she’s a good fit, then we’ll ask her tomorrow, probably for lunch. Leon needs to start his lessons soon.”

“That’s a great idea.”

“It was your idea,” I said with a small smile.

She laughed lightly. “Still… do you need any help turning that room into a study space?”

“Yes,” I said. “I had a lot of ideas about what I wanted to do with the house. I’ll talk to William.”

After lunch, I did exactly that. I told William I wanted to bring someone in to help with the work. But he quickly shook his head.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea right now,” he said carefully. “Asher doesn’t want strangers coming in and out of the house while things are still… unsettled.”

My face fell slightly. But I understood what was at risk. This wasn’t about control. It was about safety.

“You’re right,” I said. “But we can use what we already have. We have everything we need here.” I gestured around lightly.

“You're right. Hals is here, Mikey is too. I’m here. Whatever we can do for now, we’ll make it work.”

And so we did. William and I worked around the house, pulling pieces together without actually changing anything permanent. We planned the space carefully, finding a bookcase, a good table, comfortable chairs, soft rugs… Small things. But enough to bring the room to life. And when we were done It looked amazing.

“What are all of you doing here?”

Asher’s voice came from behind me. I turned quickly towards his voice. It was just William, Maria, and Leon, all standing there, admiring what we had done.

Leon didn’t wait.
