Claimed By The Mafia Don (Ariella and Asher) novel Chapter 389

ARIELLA

The next day, Leon and Asher were up bright and early. They went through their morning routine and by the time I woke up, it was already around eight.

I took a shower, got dressed, and headed downstairs, wondering why they still weren’t back. They had left at five in the dark of the morning...

When I got to the kitchen, Margaret and William were already there, each with a cup of coffee.

“Good morning, Mrs Romano,” they both said at the same time.

I smiled.

“It’s Ariella.”

“Yes… Ariella,” they corrected, smiling.

I leaned slightly against the counter.

“Sorry to say this, but I can’t find my husband or my son.”

“Oh, they’re not back yet,” William said.

“They’re not back? Where are they?”

“Well… they went to the gym.”

I blinked.

“The gym?”

“Yes.”

“Where?”

“There is a gym between the mansion and the soldiers’ houses,” William explained. “That’s where they are right now.”

My eyes widened.

“I didn’t know there was a gym,” I said. “You didn’t show us a gym on the tour, William.”

“Well… there is,” he said with a small smile. “I didn’t think you would want to go toward that side.... It's too.... masculine?”

“And…”

He hesitated just slightly, amused.

“I didn’t want you to meet any half-naked men there.. Your husband would probably bury me alive.”

That made me laugh.

“Wow… I didn’t know they were going to the gym. Have they been going there every day?”

“I believe they just started today,” William replied.

“Oh… and Sia?” I asked.

Margaret added, “She’s already in Leon’s classroom, getting ready for the day. She was here quite early.”

“What time?”

“Around six forty-five.”

I raised my brows.

“Oh… she really comes in early.”

“Yes,” Margaret said. “You could say she’s very dedicated.”

I nodded slowly, taking that in.

“Okay… do you mind showing me the way to the gym, William?”

“Of course......”

He started to get up, but just then we heard Leon’s voice echo through the house.

“I’m going to tell Mommy all about it!”

Footsteps followed, fast, excited, running up the stairs.

I smiled. “No need,” I said, already turning. “ I think I’ll find them.”

I walked out of the kitchen and toward the stairs just as Asher came into view, heading up. The moment he saw me, he stopped.

“There you are," he said brightly.

“How did you know I was here?” I asked, raising a brow.

“That goes for you too,” I said. “Go upstairs. Take a shower. Get changed.”

He blinked at me.

“I’ll be waiting for you downstairs so we can have breakfast,” I added

He looked amused.

“Look at you… with all the rules.”

“Yes,” I said, lifting my chin slightly. “I am the woman of the house. And what I say goes.”

“Really?” he asked, raising an eyebrow, his tone already shifting into something dangerous.

I narrowed my eyes.

“Don’t try it.”

Of course.... He didn’t listen. Before I could react, he picked me up, throwing me over his shoulder.

“ASher!” I gasped, laughing despite myself as he started up the stairs.

“You said go upstairs,” he said casually.

“I didn’t mean like this!”

But he was already carrying me up, and I couldn’t hold back the laughter that slipped out. We ended up having a quickie in the bathroom, to which I had to take another shower because I was wet all over. By the time we were done, we both got ready and went downstairs..... And that’s when we found them.

Leon… and surprise, surprise.... Sia. They were already seated at the dining table, waiting for us like they had every right to be there.

"Sia. What a wonderful surprise."

And yes, there seemed to be a lot of those lately.

I paused for just a second as I took in the scene. I hadn’t expected her to be here this early. But then again, I had a feeling this had everything to do with him.

“I hope you don’t mind me intruding,” Sia said, her tone light, almost apologetic. “I tried telling Leon that it was fine, I had already had breakfast, but he wouldn’t listen. He insisted I come. He insisted that I join, and you know how Leon can be persistent.”

I let out a small breath and forced a polite smile. Of course... Leon.

“Of course,” I said, stepping further into the room. “The more the merrier.”
