I stood on the terrace, watching it all unfold beneath me as I smoked through my fifth pack of cigarettes. The underworld stretched out under my steady gaze. My empire, godlike and
merciless.
A kingdom where secrets take root, where crime is nurtured, where the illegal thrives. A place where men are recruited young and sworn to silence until death takes them. Where loyalty is carved into bone.
The night wind rose and I exhaled with it, watching everyone move with purpose. Every section lit, every worker alert, every phase of the operation moving like a heartbeat.
It almost looked like a wolf pack, only this one was buried deep under the surface, past an underground tunnel that kept the sky permanently night. We call it the Underworld. The Empire. And I rule it.
Everyone here bows to me.
But I bow to my father.
Because he is the Godfather and tonight, he’s coming.
The thought had barely settled when footsteps approached behind me. The air shifted.
Desmond.
“Uncle has arrived,” he said, nodding toward the massive electric gate.
I followed his gaze. The car approached, sleek and familiar. My heartbeat steadied.
He is here.
I dropped the cigarette and descended the stairs with Desmond close behind. We stepped out just as the car rolled to a stop. I walked straight to the door and opened it with a bow.
Alpha Ruis remained seated for a few seconds, letting the weight of his presence settle over the empire. When he finally stepped out, silence rippled through the tunnels. Men freezing mid- task, heads bowing low.
Then he nodded at me.

I swallowed, turned, and led him down the hall. Every man we passed bowed even deeper at the sight of the Godfather.
We descended the spiral stairs and reached the blocked wall. I pressed my palm flat against it; the silent sensors hummed, reading me. The wall parted.
A vast secret store stretched before us larger than life. My father stepped inside, took two steps… and froze.
Drugs.
Feroz’s entire fortune.
The stash from all fifteen of his warehouses, every bit of it stolen cleanly without him knowing until it was far too late. Even H.O.W.L had no idea.
“My good gods,” my father muttered, awe shaking his voice. He looked around at the towers of stolen wealth. “You did this so soon.”
I exhaled. Gains always come with losses. Snow had muttered yesterday that the flash drive was a map to the warehouses. I knew I needed it before H.O.W.L did.
When she passed out from fear after seeing my bullet wound, it should’ve been easy. But her colleague Dana, the lunatic who almost fled with my car was still there.
I kept in touch with Desmond in coded words. He reached my car once I hit the main road. I handed him the drive. Against everything my heart wanted, I stalled for fifteen minutes while he made the copy. Snow’s limp body over my shoulder was wrong, cruel even, but this opportunity wouldn’t come again.
If H.O.W.L got the warehouses first, I’d lose everything.
“How much do you think this is worth, Cupid?” my father asked.
“Hundreds of trillions,” I replied. “Years of Feroz’s stash.”
“My good gods,” he said again, smiling wide. “When will it hit the streets?”
“Soon. Next week. We’re analyzing and classifying the supply now. It’ll sell, Father. The addicted will chase that high every time. One sniff and they’ll beg for more.”
“That’s right,” he growled proudly, patting my arm. “You make me happy, son. Now, watch your back. And eliminate threats. Killing is the easiest part. What’s the rule?”

He nodded, satisfied.

“I should leave. You’ve worked hard and you deserve a holiday, but we can’t afford that yet. Take your men clubbing tonight. Everything at the club is on me. Spend the cash, empty the bottles, fuck every hole you want. Make it rain until the whores need umbrellas. Understand?”
I smiled and nodded.
He patted my arm again and I escorted him back to his car. After he entered, I bowed and watched the car drive off until it disappeared.
Only then did I straighten, exhaling slowly. My eyes dropped to my chest, still hiding the bullet wound I’d been carrying around, unable to go to the rainforest to heal yet.
Everything had moved too fast. After discovering the warehouse locations, I rallied my men and emptied Feroz’s sites through the night.
H.O.W.L only caught up at dawn. I intentionally left the sixteenth one untouched to expose Feroz, lock him away, and remove competition. One drug lord down means more clients for
“Boss, let’s go clubbing. The men are ready,” Desmond said behind me.
I turned. “What?”
“You’re not going?” he asked like I’d lost

His eyes narrowed. “Because of her? That lady?”
I swallowed. I couldn’t deny it anymore.
“Yes. Because of her. Go enjoy yourself. I’m heading to my loft.”
I walked toward my car, hand on the door handle when his next question froze me cold.
“Marlik goes to court tomorrow. You know?”
Goosebumps prickled up my arms. I nodded. “Yeah.”
Then he hesitated before asking, quieter.

“You killed her, didn’t you? Snow’s colleague. The one who tried to steal your car. They said overdose, but… that sounds like something you’d do.”
My knuckles whitened on the handle. I didn’t answer. He already knew.
I got into the car and sighed deeply.
Being Mafia King demands many things. Mercy is not one of them. You eliminate every threat, big or small.
Dana abandoned Snow.
Left her to die.
Tried to walk away untouched.
I don’t care about my own pain. But Snow?
Snowflakes?
No. Never.
She almost got Snow killed.
So I made her pay.
Entering her apartment was easy. Slipping poison into her painkillers easier. Overdose, that’s what the report will say.
But it was me.
And now that I’ve started… I don’t think I’ll ever stop.
Anyone who hurts my Snowflakes… dies.
