Overwhelming joy and thrill coursed through me as the car rolled to a smooth stop in front of the Frost home.

I stepped out, offering a polite bow and a grateful smile to the chauffeur before gathering my bag and heading inside, practically floating on glee.

The moment I pushed open the door and entered the living room, Kashi looked up from the couch with a wide grin.

“Wow, the star is here!”

I hurried over and threw my arms around him in a tight hug. When I pulled back, he studied my face with obvious pride, then nodded toward the TV.

I slid onto the seat beside him, eyes drawn to the screen replaying footage from the red carpet, headlines buzzing about the arrivals.

The moment everyone was obsessing over was Cupid Godlike stepping out… followed by me.

I swallowed hard as the clip highlighted him alighting from his car. Cupid. That man knew exactly how to seize my heart and run away with it. He was devastatingly fine, radiating pure dominance.

I still couldn’t believe the words he’d spoken before opening my car door few hours ago. It wasn’t a question or a request. It was a claim. Whether I realized it or not, to him I was his woman. Completely.

A car, a limitless credit card, it all felt almost normal now. And deep down, I suspected Cupid wasn’t done spoiling me.

“And the celebrity has arrived,” Mirena’s teasing voice came from behind.

“Mirey!” I jumped up to hug her. She giggled, pulling back to look me over.

“Now this is the real Frost baby girl,” she joked. “Who dolled you up like this?”

“Pinky recommended her salon,” I said, nudging Kashi aside so Mirena could claim her spot.

“Oh, Pinky,” she murmured, settling beside him. I raised an eyebrow.

“What about Pinky?”

“It’s Eshan,” Kashi said, rubbing his temple. “He’s been on the phone with her for hours.”

I smiled, already picturing how possessive Eshan could be.

“You can’t really blame him,” Mirena added. “You know how many fans Pinky Pie has.”

Kashi shot her a look. “You have fans too. Was I ever mad about that?”

A smile tugged at my lips as I turned away.

“Is there any dinner left? I’m starving. Is Roc in? I should tell him his car’s in perfect condition.”

“Yeah, inside,” Kashi replied.

I nodded, grabbing the manuals and my bag before heading down the hall. Passing Eshan’s door, I caught muffled words.

“So

you won’t come for Thanksgiving? Huh? Why not stay there for Christmas and New Year too!”

I swallowed and kept moving, slowing instinctively outside Viviana’s door to check if she was in. She wasn’t and relief washed over me as I rolled my eyes in private peace.

I reached Roc’s room and knocked gently. No answer, only the sound of running water.

“He must be in the shower,” I murmured to myself, turning to leave when a sharp voice stopped me cold.

“Don’t you dare, Marcus!”

I froze. Sera?

I turned the knob quietly and slipped inside.

She was in the bathroom; water ran loudly, but her voice carried clearly enough.

“Breathe a word about what’s between us to Roc, and I won’t let you live another day!”

The water shut off abruptly. The bathroom door opened, and she stepped out, only to freeze at the sight of me.

I blinked slowly, piecing it together. She’d run the water to mask her words, but it hadn’t been

Marcus, her forensic assistant from H.O.W.L. What was between them that Roc couldn’t know?

“Ah… Snow, you’re back,” she managed, feigning casual surprise.

I nodded, forcing a small smile.

“I… was looking for Roc. Kashi said he was in.”

“Oh, he’s with Dad.”

I nodded again and turned to leave when she called softly, “How about dinner? Shall I serve something?”

On any normal night, I’d have accepted eagerly. Tonight, I didn’t know how to respond. I barely recognized Seraphine Castle anymore.

I shook my head and slipped out, heading to Father’s room instead. I knocked lightly.

“Come in.”

I entered to find him seated on the couch, Roc opposite him in deep, serious conversation. I’d clearly interrupted.

“Um… maybe I should come back later. I just wanted to let you know I’m home and tell Roc his car’s fine.”

Father smiled warmly.

“I knew it would be. No worries.”

“I’m the sister who’s crashed one before,” I teased. “You need specifics.”

He chuckled.

“As long as you stay away from the manuals type, it’ll be fine.”

“Come on.”

He laughed lightly, and the mood eased.

“I should shower and sleep. Tomorrow morning I’m off to the parish for the donation.”

Father nodded, pride clear in his eyes. I turned to leave as their conversation resumed.
