Chapter 345
Cupid
“I can’t believe Cupid Godlike is here with you, Snowflakes. Please, you both should sit.”
The Luna of Castle Pack, Mrs. Castle, gestured warmly toward the chairs in her private office.

1 led Snow quietly to them, my arm steady around her waist. She felt fragile, drained, almost weightless and I couldn’t stop wondering what had happened to her in that exam room. What they’d given her. What toll it had taken.
Tenderly, she leaned into me as we reached the seats. I pulled her close, wrapping my arms around her as though she might shatter if I let go too soon.
Mrs. Castle smiled gently and settled across from us. Snow tried to sit up straighter, pulling away just a little, but the Luna shock her head in quiet understanding.
“It will be better if you relax against him, Snow. You’ll feel weary for a few hours before the sedative fully wears off.
“It was injected into your veins to flush out the overdose of pills that had built up inside you. And here…” She extended a slim folder with a small, knowing smile. “are your results.”
Snow stared at the paper but made no move to take it. Fear held her frozen; her fingers trembled faintly against my arm.
Mrs. Castle turned to me instead. I accepted it with a low, respectful bow and unfolded the sheet.
My own breath caught in my throat as my eyes scanned the lines. For a long moment, everything stopped.
“She is hale and healthy, fully capable of conceiving babies and, in fact… ready to shift,” Mrs. Castle said softly.
Snow went completely still in my arms.
Slowly, I turned to her. She sat up straighter, reached for the paper with shaking hands, and read it herself. Whatever she saw made her swallow hard, eyes glistening.
“Mother… are you sure about this?” she whispered to Mrs. Castle. “Am I really…?”
The Luna reached across the desk and took Snow’s hand, giving it a tender, reassuring squeeze.
“Nothing happens in Castle healthcare without my approval. What you’re reading is true and authentic.” Her voice softened further, laced with sorrow. “I’m more relieved than you are, Snow. You’ve been through far too much. Now you’re finally reclaiming yourself. What greater gift from the Moon Goddess than your health restored?”
Snow exhaled a long, trembling breath of relief. She turned to me, eyes shining, and leaned in to kiss my lips softly, gratefully, forgetting for a heartbeat that we weren’t alone.
Mrs. Castle, in a way her mother–in–law, simply watched with quiet fondness.
When Snow pulled back, she was grinning wide, radiant, unguarded.
“Babies, Cupid. Pups.” Her voice cracked with joy. “I can’t imagine a little mini–you running around the house.”
A soft, bubbling laugh escaped her genuinely, happy giggles that warmed places in my chest I hadn’t known were cold.

She was truly happy, already dreaming of our future, of pups with her eyes and my stubborn streak. In that moment, I realized how deeply I mattered to her. This wasn’t some fleeting romance. It was pure, unshakable love.
She turned to Mrs. Castle, smile softening into gratitude.
“Mother, you’ve done so much for me in this. I don’t even know how to thank you.”
Mrs. Castle studied her for a long moment before her expression turned certain.
“There is a way you can thank me. Make sure Doctor Catina is brought to justice.”
I nodded slowly in understanding but then I caught the personal edge in the Luna’s eyes, the flicker of something deeper, almost vengeful. As though Doctor Catina had harmed more than just Kim Krates.
“Doctors like her tarnish the rest of us, the good ones. You need to bring her to justice, Snow. To protect others from becoming her victims.”
Snow’s smile faded. She nodded, resolute.
“Ares is going to court tomorrow. We’re pinning it all on him. Doctor Catina will be flushed out along the way too.”
“Really?”
“Definitely. You have nothing to worry about on that front, Mother.”
Mrs. Castle’s relief was visible. She rose, rounded the desk, and pulled Snow into a warm, enveloping hug. Pleasantries were exchanged, and soon we were ready to leave. As she walked us out, Snow asked softly,
“Mother, how are the triplets doing?”
“Oh, the Mane triplets are thriving in the pack. Such sweet little loves. I still can’t believe their mother is gone.” She sighed, then paused to meet Snow’s eyes. “I spoke to Dove this morning. She sounded… normal. Too normal. It worries me. How is her mate handling her through all this? I heard it’s Marlik. What a small world we live in.”
Snow glanced at me briefly, then offered Mrs. Castle a gentle smile.
“Marlik has been there to console her. Dove will be fine, I believe, once Mr. Mane is caught.”
“Such a sad situation. I thought the Echo team would have flushed him out by now. But with everything on your plates, especially the case…”
“Yes. Especially Eshan. He’s prosecuting tomorrow and… it’s too much on his shoulders.”
“Well, it’s a relief we’ll soon be done with all of this. That man Ares…” The Luna shook her head, disgust plain. “I heard Neils White is presiding tomorrow, and I smell foul play.
“After everything Ares has done, even life or death row feels too merciful. What he did to you alone, drugging you to seal your womb shut is enough to make him suffer for eternity. Inhumane. And he calls himself human.”
She sighed again, reaching out to rub Snow’s back soothingly.
“We should give glory that you’re back to normal now. One more thing, though. Don’t try any contraceptives, pills, or medications that prevent pregnancy just yet. Abstinence or… condoms are the safest way for now. Alright?”

She slowed, searching my eyes in surprise.
“How did your womb get damaged in the first place?” I asked the one question that had been burning since Mrs. Castia’s words
Her expression shifted. Realization hit her like a shadow. From the beginning. F’d known about her condition, but i’d ever praised
for the full truth.
Never asked who had done it to her. Now Mrs. Castle had named Ares Bani, and I sat here waiting, praying it wasn’t true.
Snow reached for my hand softly, her touch tentative.
“Can you drive me home? I’m tired… and I don’t want to remember those dark days with Ares.”
I swallowed hard. Exhaustion and old pain swam in her eyes. I nodded once.
I adjusted her seat back so she could rest, then gently lifted her legs across my lap.
1 slipped off her heels one by one, palms settling warm against her calves, thumbs tracing slow, soothing circles over her toes and arches.
She let out a soft, relieved sigh and leaned her head back, closing her eyes.
I started the engine and pulled out of the lot, driving us toward home.
But in the silence, my mind was already made up.
Tomorrow, I would commit some crimes.
