She was radiant, beautiful in that effortless way of hers and she grinned wider.

Pinky nodded. She turned back to her team and the fans posing for a few more shots, accepting a handful of gifts her security allowed. She waved one last time, bright and grateful, then followed us to the car.

Eshan opened the passenger door, but Pinky slid into the backseat beside me instead. He settled behind the wheel and pulled away, the fans still chanting her name as we left them behind and merged into the busy road.

“Oh goodness, I can’t breathe,” Pinky exhaled dramatically
