I didn’t take the phone on the first ring. Instead, I just stared at the screen and let the fact settle that she fled because of the interruption.

My jaw tightened. I leaned back in my seat, raking my fingers through my hair, unable to stop thinking about her.

Ever since the moment I met her, she has occupied every corner of my mind. And seeing her tonight, this yielding, this soft, this painfully beautiful only cemented her place in my heart even deeper.

Her breasts had been perfect. Firm and soft at the same time, big just like I always suspected under her clothes. And her nipplesMoon Goddess. That lovely pink crown was meant to be sucked by me, but that damn call came in.

Swallowing hard, I reached for my phone and sighed. It was my younger sister, Almera. Why was she calling this late?

and my

I glanced at the empty seat beside me, the place she had occupied only minutes ago jaw tightened again. Now that I’ve had a taste of her, seen even a part of her, I wanted more. A lot more.

I finally answered.

Cupid?Almera’s soft voice came through. I didn’t respond. I just listened. Cupid, I’m at the store and I have no money with me. I want some things.”

I went completely still. My eyes flicked to the dashboard clock.

What in the hell are you doing out at this time?I snapped, anger boiling but she hung up before I could finish, sinking my heart even further.

I immediately turned on the GPS tracker I installed on her phone. Her location popped up on the car screen. Without hesitation, I started the engine and drove out fast.

She must still be mad from last time. I’ve tried calling her since, but she refused to answer. The only reason I didn’t push further was because I kept getting reports of her whereabouts. She was studying in her room. She was safe. That’s what mattered.

I arrived at the departmental store where the tracker led me and stepped out just in time to see her standing at the entrance, clutching her bag in the cold, snowy night.

Relief washed through me. She was safe. But the relief was quickly replaced with anger.

I walked toward her quietly. She straightened when she saw me, looking into my eyes only briefly before lowering her gaze.

You’re here,she murmured.

I glared once and turned away.

Get in the car.

I didn’t wait for a response. I expected obedience. But instead she spoke again.

I need to get some sanitary pads. You didn’t resupply this month. Maybe you forgot?

I turned back at her words, and just like that, my anger vanished. My phone alarm suddenly beeped, the one that reminds me every month to restock her feminine products.

I lowered my gaze and walked toward her, taking her hand and leading her inside. She grabbed a shopping cart, and I followed behind, arms folded as she headed to the feminine aisle.

She picked up everything she needed, then moved to the pharmacy section for stomach relief pills. After that, she pushed the cart toward the candy shelf, grabbing her usual cravings.

We headed toward the cashier when something caught my eye. A black dress on a mannequin. Flowing. Elegant.

The kind that would cling to curves in the most devastating way. The kind that would fit her perfectly, the woman I’d just kissed. Her plump breasts would sit beautifully in it. The neckline would show just enough of her upper cleavagethe part I can’t get enough of.

I swallowed hard at the image of her wearing it.

When I turned, Almera was watching me. She walked back to stand beside me and nodded like she already knew what was running through my mind.

She’ll like this one,she said softly. Who is she?

Keep walking,I muttered, ignoring her. But she caught my wrist, making me face her.

You know I’m still mad at you for not standing up for yourself before Father. You shouldn’t always be cleaning up Yenda’s mess.”

I stared at her, unsure how to explain something that would make sense. Father, Alpha Ruis of Godlike Pack, is someone I can never say no to.

I blinked, looking back at the dress. It was easier to talk about the woman haunting my mind than to explain why I can’t defy our father.

She’s beautiful,I murmured. And smart. You think she’ll like the dress?

Almera’s cheeks flushed. She looked stunned.

Me? Talking about a woman with this softness?

Given my history, she had every right to be shocked. My relationships were nothing but lust, nothing but bodies. No attachment. Everyone knew that.

Yet nowthis woman.

How about these heels for her too?Almira suggested, pointing at a shiny black pair. They match.

Somehow, that warmed my chest.

I called the sales representative and told her to pack the dress and heels. She smiled brightly.

It’s a lovely dress, sir. Only two were made. Your wife will definitely love it.

Wife.

The word hit me in the chest.

Her, as my wife?

Her in my loft deep in the woods?

Her body tangled in my sheets while the rainforest whispers outside?

Her moans mixing with the sound of rustling leaves?

A bold imagination.

Yes.

A bold one.
