Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off novel Chapter 297

Chapter 297: Chapter 297: Shi Feng is here!

"Is there someone home? Warrior Hu Yan... Witch Doctor Qinglan?"

The echo of a new voice drifted through the treehouse, barely giving the family enough time to settle after the Tribe Leader’s departure.

The cubs, sensing a new presence, became restless in Su Qinglan’s arms. Their tiny ears twitched, and they squirmed with a newfound curiosity to meet whoever was at the door.

"Hu Yan, see who has come," Su Qinglan urged, motioning for him to check. The voice was unfamiliar, and she wasn’t expecting any guests.

"Hmm... Lan Lan," Hu Yan grunted. He placed the cubs back into her arms, though they tried to cling to his fur, and walked toward the entrance. His expression froze the moment he stepped outside.

"What do you need?" he asked, his voice casual but his jaw gritting so hard his teeth nearly cracked.

Shen Lu stood there, wearing his most dazzling smile, though he felt incredibly stiff.

Behind him stood the formidable Lion King, Shi Feng, who was tagging along like a silent shadow.

"Amm... my female is having cubs," Shen Lu said, his voice brimming with joy. "Grandma Lin has confirmed it! But... she is throwing up too much. Can Witch Doctor Qinglan see her?"

His voice trailed off, becoming smaller as he realized the weight of his request. Su Qinglan had just given birth; asking her to work now felt selfish.

"I need to ask my female," Hu Yan grunted. He then shifted his glare to the nonchalant Shi Feng.

"And what’s with the Lion King coming to my place?"

Shi Feng looked at him with cool, golden eyes. "The females of my tribe are sick. As a leader, I have to make sure everything is fine."

Hu Yan’s left eye twitched. This bastard, he thought. As if he couldn’t just send the other lion.

His beast instincts were roaring, he knew exactly why this jerk was here. He was here to see Lan Lan.

Just as they were locked in a silent, aggressive deadlock, a melodious voice drifted from the house. "Babies, don’t run! The ground outside is wet!"

Suddenly, two chubby fur balls came charging out with all their might. They crossed the threshold, their tiny paws skidding on the damp ground, and crashed head-first into Hu Yan’s muscular legs.

"Stop causing a ruckus for your mom!" Hu Yan scolded, picking them up as they splattered him with mud.

Su Qinglan stepped outside, chasing after the cubs, but she stopped abruptly when she saw the unfamiliar lion beastman and Shi Feng.

"What are they doing here? Did something happen?" she thought.

Shi Feng stood frozen. As his gaze fell upon Su Qinglan, only one word echoed in his mind: Stunning. She looked like a goddess.

He finally understood why Shi Kuang always called her the Sunset Goddess. After giving birth, she seemed even more mature and radiant.

Her shiny, sunset-orange hair reached past her waist, flying gracefully behind her as she walked. He felt a sudden, primal urge to scent those locks.

She had lost weight, her figure becoming slender once more, though her face remained round and radiant.

She wore a flowing dress he had never seen before, the straps tied gracefully around her slender neck, leaving her shoulders bare.

As she walked, the dress clung to the curves of her body. Shi Feng’s gaze inadvertently dropped to her breasts, which had grown fuller, peaking slightly from the dress. His throat bobbed, and he immediately averted his eyes, heat rising to his face.

"I... I brought these," Shi Feng blurted out, suddenly pulling a bunch of fresh, vibrant flowers from behind his back.

With a low growl, Hu Yan barged directly between them, his massive frame completely blocking Shi Feng’s view of Su Qinglan. He stood like a solid stone wall with his broad shoulders. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

Shi Feng’s eyes widened as his hands were suddenly filled with squirming, muddy fur.

Even the cubs were stunned for a moment, looking up at their father with wide, questioning eyes.

Hu Yan flashed a smug, terrifyingly sharp smile at the babies. "Go on, little ones. Say thank you to Uncle Shi Feng! He brought so many gifts for you. Show him how happy you are!"

The cubs seemed to catch the hidden glint in their father’s eyes. They didn’t need to be told twice.

Understanding that this "Uncle" was fair game for play, they let out a synchronized, high-pitched Awoo! of pure joy.

Immediately, the "thanking" began. The cubs scrambled up Shi Feng’s expensive-looking furs, leaving wet, muddy paw prints all over his muscular arms and chest.

Xiao Er, the naughtiest of the two, didn’t stop at the chest. He used his tiny claws to scale Shi Feng’s neck and perched himself directly on the Lion King’s shoulder.

With a happy yip, Xiao Er leaned in and clamped his tiny jaws onto Shi Feng’s ear. He bit down with all the "ferocity" a toothless cub could muster, his little gums working hard.

It didn’t hurt Shi Feng, but the sensation of a wet, growling cub gnawing on his ear was enough to make the mighty King go stiff with shock.

Xiao Er didn’t lose confidence. Father said to thank him! I am thanking him very hard!

Not to be outdone, Xiao Yi decided to target the front. He climbed up Shi Feng’s face, his muddy tail slapping against the Lion King’s mouth.

With a determined wiggle, Xiao Yi reached out and bit down squarely on the bridge of Shi Feng’s nose.

The scene was enough to make everyone speechless.
