Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off novel Chapter 311

Chapter 311: Chapter 311: Xiao Yi and Xiao Er get the love of the tribe.

From the shadows, three massive figures stepped forward.

The entire tribe held its breath. These were Su Mingxuan’s personal elite guards...three Level-6 beastmen who were nearly as old as the Tribe Leader himself.

They followed only his orders and were known for their absolute loyalty and cold efficiency.

Without a word, they grabbed Mu Lihua by her arms, lifting her off the ground as if she weighed nothing.

"AHHH! NO! Mingxuan, save me! You can’t do this! AHHH!" Mu Lihua’s screams faded into the distance as they dragged her toward the dark, underground stone rooms used for the tribe’s worst criminals.

Su Mingxuan gave one last look at Su Qinglan before turning and following his warriors. The crowd stood in a heavy, stunned silence. The drama that had just unfolded was enough to change the tribe forever.

Su Qinglan stood at the gate of her treehouse, feeling a strange coldness in her heart. She looked at the mud where Mu Lihua had been sitting.

The original Su Qinglan was no longer in this world to see this day, but the current Su Qinglan felt the weight of that justice. Mu Lihua had ruined the original owner’s life, and now, her own life was over.

Suddenly, a sharp, high-pitched wail broke the silence of the village.

WAAAAAH!

Su Qinglan’s head snapped toward the sound. Her heart, which had been cold only a second ago, suddenly melted. That sound was unmistakable.

"Xiao Er? Xiao Yi?" she whispered.

Through the parting crowd, Han Jue appeared. He looked exhausted and worried sick.

His hair was messy, and there were several fresh biting marks on his arms. Wrapped in a large, thick bundle of white beast furs were two squirming, screaming bundles of energy.

Han Jue had been waiting at home for Su Qinglan to return, but as the hours passed and the commotion in the village grew louder, he couldn’t stay still.

Even worse, the two cubs had sensed their mother’s absence. They had started crying so hard their little faces turned red.

They had even tried to bite Han Jue’s hands and crawl out of the treehouse, their tiny noses sniffing the air desperately for her scent.

"Qinglan!" Han Jue called out, his voice filled with relief when he spotted her. "I couldn’t keep them at home any longer. They were going to tear the house down."

Rong Ye was out hunting with Stove, so Han Jue had been left alone to handle the two "little demons."

As soon as the babies saw Su Qinglan, their cries reached a new level of intensity. They struggled inside the thick fur hide, their tiny paws flailing as they tried to lunge toward her.

"WAAAAAH! MAMA!"

Su Qinglan didn’t care about anything. She sprinted toward Han Jue, her arms reaching out. "Oh, my babies! I’m here! Mama is here!"

The beastmen, who had just been witnessing a scene of hatred and dark magic, were suddenly struck by the sight of these two beautiful, healthy cubs.

They hadn’t seen cubs this vibrant and strong in the tribe for a long time.

Han Jue loosened his grip, and Su Qinglan pulled the two warm, soft bundles into her chest.

However, the old lady’s smile took on a slightly more serious, traditional look as she continued.

"But, my dear child, I have a hope. I hope your next litter can produce a fine orange-red fox. Our tribe has always been led by the red fox lineage. Since you are the only child of the Tribe Leader, we need a red fox cub to grow up and take your father’s place one day."

Su Qinglan felt her mouth twitch. She was completely speechless for a moment. The next litter? I just finished with this one! she thought, feeling a bit overwhelmed.

And how could she give birth alone to a red fox? After all, cubs mostly take after the father, not the mother. Was she not indirectly hinting that she should mate with a red fox from the tribe?

She knew Grandma Su wasn’t being mean; she was just old-fashioned.

In the elder’s mind, the Fox Tribe belonged to the red foxes, and the bloodline of the leader was the most important thing to preserve. She expected Su Qinglan to provide the next heir.

Su Qinglan let out a soft, awkward laugh, trying to keep the tone light.

"Grandma Su, don’t worry about that so much. Look around at all these strong young red foxes in our tribe. There are many of them! We should let them all train and become stronger."

She hugged her cubs a little tighter, looking at their unique features...features that clearly showed their heritage from their father.

"Whoever is the strongest and the wisest should become the next Tribe Leader, regardless of their color. Besides," she added with a playful wink, "who is to say I will even give birth to a red fox next time? The Beast God decides these things, not us!"

Grandma Su blinked, clearly surprised by such a modern idea, but she couldn’t stay serious while looking at the adorable babies.

She just shook her head and chuckled. "You always were a stubborn girl, Qinglan. But as long as they are as healthy as these two, I suppose the color doesn’t matter as much."
