Han Jue could not help but smile at her reaction. He reached out and gently pinched her cheek. "What are you so angry about?"
Su Qinglan glared at him slightly, but he only chuckled. "There are all kinds of people in this world. We can’t get angry at everyone, right?"
He softened his voice and added, "Don’t think too much. Just focus on what we can do."
Su Qinglan pouted slightly and looked away. "I’m not angry. I’m just... frustrated."
She paused before continuing, her tone becoming a little lower, "When will that man finally leave? I can’t even meet my family properly."
Her voice carried a hint of grievance. "And Rong Ye and An Mo are still not back. It feels like our whole family has been scattered."
Han Jue listened quietly, then chuckled softly. He reached out and gently smoothed her hair. "I see... my little female is really angry."
"I’m not angry," Su Qinglan immediately denied, though her tone was clearly unconvinced.
Han Jue laughed even more. "Alright, alright. My female is not angry."
Before she could say anything more, his body suddenly shifted.
In the next moment, a large and majestic white wolf appeared in front of her. His fur was smooth and shining under the sunlight, and his ice blue eyes looked at her with a hint of playfulness.
"Come," he said in a low voice. "Climb on. I’ll take you somewhere nice."
Su Qinglan blinked in surprise. "You’re taking me? Where?"
But Han Jue did not answer directly. He simply nudged her gently with his snout. "Just get on."
Seeing his insistence, Su Qinglan did not hesitate anymore. She carefully climbed onto his back, holding onto his thick fur for balance.
The moment she settled, Han Jue leaped forward.
His speed was fast, and in just a few breaths, they had already left the Dragon Beast City. The gates were no longer heavily guarded, and no one stopped them as they passed through.
The wind rushed past her ears, carrying a fresh and cool scent.
Su Qinglan’s eyes slowly softened.
After being confined in the city for so many days, this sudden freedom felt unbelievably refreshing. She closed her eyes slightly, enjoying the breeze brushing against her face.
"This feels so good..." she murmured.
The outside world was vast and full of life. The greenery, the sky, the open land...everything felt so alive.
Han Jue seemed to sense her mood. He increased his speed slightly, his powerful limbs carrying them swiftly across the land.
Su Qinglan tightened her grip on his neck fur to steady herself, but there was a bright smile on her face.
In her previous life, she had never imagined something like this. Riding on a powerful beast, feeling the wind, traveling freely through nature...
"This life is really unpredictable," she thought softly. "You never know what will happen next."
Her body relaxed, and she slowly leaned forward, resting against Han Jue’s back. After a moment, she even lay down slightly, placing her cheek against his warm fur.
It was soft and comforting.
Han Jue immediately slowed down when he felt her movement, making sure she would not fall. His steps became steadier, allowing her to rest comfortably.
A faint smile appeared in his eyes. After some time, he gradually came to a stop.
Su Qinglan felt the change and slowly opened her eyes. The scene in front of her made her pause.
