He grabbed the edge of the lake bank, looking at her with desperate, pleading eyes. "Please... don’t tell anyone about me! If they find out I’m hiding here, they’ll definitely kick me out of the estate. I have nowhere else to go!"

Before little Yueyue could even nod her head to agree, Yuze immediately dove back into the deep water. With a soft splash, his shimmering blue tail vanished beneath the dark surface, leaving not a single trace behind.

"Sister... if you ever want to go anywhere, just tell your big brother! I’ll take you anywhere you want!" He was practically holding back tears, feeling so guilty for letting her wander off.

The other tiger cubs chimed in eagerly, crowding around her. "Yes, little sister! Just tell us! We’ll protect you!"

Yueyue nodded happily at her protective brothers. Satisfied and relieved, the entire family turned around and began walking back towards the warmth of the main house.

Once the sound of their footsteps completely faded into the distance, Yuze quietly poked his head out from the surface of the lake once again.

He rested his chin on the grassy bank, watching the large, loving family walk away together. It seems that little snake cub is really cherished by her family... he thought to himself, feeling a tiny twinge of envy in his heart.
