Cold Husband Burning Regret: The Divorce He Couldn't Handle novel Chapter 676

As Vance walked out of the office building, someone suddenly blocked his path. Just as his guard went up, Foster threw an overly friendly arm around his neck. "Hey there, buddy! Don't you recognize me? Come on, let's go catch up."

"What the hell? Who are you—" Vance tried to struggle, but a heavy hand clamped down on the back of his neck, shoving him roughly into a waiting car.

Panic surged through him, but the doors were already locked. There was no escape.

"You must be Vance."

Hearing a woman's voice, Vance froze and turned to the back seat, staring at the stunning woman sitting there.

Charlotte offered a slight smile. "Don't be nervous. We're just going to find a quiet place for a little chat."

"Who... who are you people?" He swallowed hard, guilt washing over him.

"If we went through the trouble of finding you, you should already know why we're here." Charlotte casually flipped through a magazine.

Vance immediately clamped his mouth shut. After a long moment, he stammered, "Where are you taking me..."

Charlotte didn't answer.

Foster, sitting right beside him, slapped a hand onto his shoulder. "What's with the nerves, kid? We're not gonna eat you. Relax."

Despite the reassurance, Vance's body was trembling uncontrollably.

Charlotte shot him a dismissive glance. A man harboring dark secrets could never truly relax.

The car wove through the city streets before finally parking under a massive bridge spanning the river.

The area was completely desolate.

Seeing the remote location, Vance completely refused to get out of the car. Foster simply gripped the back of his neck and hauled him out like a ragdoll.
