Of course Josie was very angry.
But since Harrison had said that, she didn't want to make a scene in public.
So, she didn't say another word and returned to her table in embarrassment.
"This is so infuriating! I'm so mad!"
Back at her seat, Josie pitifully complained to Amelia. "I feel like I became the villain in a novel!"
Her words made Amelia laugh. "No way. How could you be the villain?"
"Isn't the villain always the one who tries to break a couple apart and then gets chased away by the male lead?"
And right now, she had just been sent away by Harrison.
"You can't think like that. You should be confident and see yourself as the main character. They're the jerk and she's the bad woman."
Amelia didn't agree with her thinking and corrected her seriously.
Josie blinked and suddenly looked enlightened.
"That's right. Why am I putting myself down? They should be the bad ones!"
She picked up a knife and absentmindedly poked the cake in front of her. The frosting was completely ruined, showing how upset and unwilling she felt.
After Josie disappeared from their side, the gloomy look on Harrison's blind date finally eased.
She straightened her posture and tried to show a gentle smile. She softly said, "Harrison, about her..."
She wanted him to see her gentle and reasonable side, but Harrison acted like he didn't hear her. He interrupted calmly, "Sorry. I don't think this blind date suits me."
"What?"
Such a sudden twist was impossible for her to accept. She thought she heard wrong.
Her smile froze. Her eyes widened in shock and disbelief.
She opened her mouth and after a long moment finally spoke, her voice trembling and urgent. "Harrison, what did you say? Just now you were..."
A marriage connection with the Ramleys would be a great honor for her and her family.
On top of that, Harrison was handsome and capable, the ideal man for many women.
Yet after what just happened, he directly said it didn't suit him.
"I'll pay for dinner. I have something to do, so I'll leave first. Enjoy your meal."

Did they have a falling out?
If so, that might actually be good. Then I'd have a chance.
