Crowned by the Man They Feared (Amelia and Jeremy) novel Chapter 640

Jeremy's voice wasn't loud, but it carried an unquestionable authority and an icy warning that instantly quieted the already restless crowd.

Everyone present could feel the fury radiating from him in that moment.

Amelia gently squeezed Jeremy's hand in return, signaling for him to stay calm.

She looked up, her refined features completely unruffled, a faint trace of mockery curving her lips as she looked at Sabrina. "You're quite good at turning the tables. But making a guess doesn't give you the right to throw such a serious accusation at me."

Her tone was level and her logic clear, turning the core of the issue back on her accuser. Sabrina felt her prepared rebuttals catch in her throat.

But Sabrina wasn't nervous—she had evidence.

"Yeah, who do you think you are, running your mouth without a shred of proof?"

"Just because you're from the Jordans, you think you're something special?"

"You wouldn't happen to believe that coming from a prominent family gives you the right to slander others, would you?"

At that moment, the three Nygard brothers also stepped forward, genuinely throwing themselves into defending their sister with everything they had.

They knew Cora and Nydia had treated their sister well, so none of this was aimed at the Jordans as a whole.

This was directed at Sabrina alone.

Marcelo, the eldest, always the most composed, darkened his expression as his sharp gaze locked onto her.

Miguel was far more direct—he stepped forward and planted himself in front of Amelia like a lion guarding its cub.

Maxwell, the youngest and the most hot-headed, pointed straight at Sabrina's nose, his voice blazing with indignation.

Amelia naturally saw all of this clearly.

Just as she was about to speak, Sabrina beat her to it. "Of course, I have evidence!"

She was genuinely surprised—she hadn't expected the once-fractured Nygards to stand so united now.

She had hoped the brothers would stand by and watch the show, or perhaps even add fuel to the fire.

That would have been far more satisfying.

Shaking those thoughts away, Sabrina pulled out her phone.

Her fingers flew across the screen, and soon a recording of her conversation with Amelia began to play.

"Ms. Nygard, I know you've always believed I was once Jeremy's fiancée, and that you can't get past that, which is why you keep targeting me.

"But you can make things difficult for me if you want—just please don't hurt my family, alright?"

That was Sabrina's voice.

The next speaker, however, was—

"So, what if I want to make things difficult for you? I won't just target you—I'll wipe out your entire family.

"I already warned you to disappear and stop showing your face here. As long as you're still around, I have every reason to believe you haven't let go of Jeremy!

"Exactly! There are so many people here. Even a fool wouldn't be so blatant as to commit a crime at their own party!"

The three Nygard brothers were stunned as well. They recognized their sister's voice—but they absolutely refused to believe she would ever say such things.

No matter what the truth was, they would stand by her.

There was no chance they would admit to this.

"But that is clearly her voice in the recording! She said it herself, plain as day!"

"And not long after that, my aunt collapsed!"

Brielle wasn't afraid of them at all and fired back, loud and righteous.

Sabrina, standing nearby, felt deeply satisfied. She knew this idiot was a perfectly competent mouthpiece, saying exactly what she wanted to say.

As the person at the center of it all, Amelia froze for a brief moment—then immediately understood.

So, that was it.

No wonder Sabrina had been deliberately provoking her earlier; her behavior was clearly abnormal.

This had been the trap all along.

Amelia's eyes turned cold as ice as she looked at Sabrina's face—a face that looked innocent to the world but was radiating a hidden, triumphant glow.
