Chapter 2218: Evil God’s True Bloodline

"So Xiao Hua becoming an exile wasn’t part of our plans...?" Yuan mumbled after learning of this surprising information.

"Why do you ask? Is there something wrong with that girl?" Xiao Cangming asked.

Yuan looked at the slumbering girl and sighed, "She has the Evil God’s True Bloodline."

"What?! That’s impossible!" Xiao Cangming immediately exclaimed in a voice of pure disbelief. "Unless there is another Evil God out there that we don’t know about, that would imply she belongs to your family!"

Even Xiao Meilin couldn’t help but stare at him with eyes as wide as saucers.

Yuan sighed. "I’m just as confused as you are. At first, I thought the bloodline belonged to Xiao Hua, but now it’s clear that the original owner of this body is the one who possesses the bloodline."

"It makes no sense," Xiao Cangming said. "There’s no doubt this girl was born in the Primordial Realm. Unless you conceived a child during your last visit, there’s no way she could carry your bloodline. Unlike physiques, bloodlines must be inherited."

Yuan shook his head. "Not always. Some bloodlines aren’t tied to one’s flesh, but to the soul itself. I’m living proof of that."

"You are...?" Xiao Cangming mumbled.

Despite never bearing a child as the Immortal Monarch, Yuan somehow managed to be born with the Immortal Monarch’s Bloodline, which meant that some bloodlines—if unique and powerful enough—could be bound to one’s soul and be passed down even after their death through reincarnation.

Yuan spoke softly, "Before any being comes into existence, their soul must first take shape. In other words, the soul is born before all else, meaning even an unborn child would possess one."

"Are you saying that this child is the reincarnation of your...?" Xiao Cangming swallowed nervously at Yuan’s suspicion.

Yuan smiled and said, "While this is just pure speculation, I cannot think of another reason why she possesses such a bloodline. Maybe there really is another ’Evil God’ out there, and she is their child."

Xiao Cangming shook his head. "Do you know what it takes for a bloodline to be recognized by the heavens—the universe—and come into existence? Power and fate. Only those with immense strength and a destiny that shakes the world have their bloodline recognized. The greater one’s fate, the stronger their bloodline. If there was truly another Evil God who managed to create their own bloodline, there’s no way we wouldn’t have known."

The existence of bloodlines didn’t simply appear out of nowhere. When a being of immense power and destiny left a lasting impact on the world, that influence would be recognized by the heavens themselves, thus giving birth to a unique bloodline. Such bloodlines could then be passed down through generations, granting their descendants extraordinary abilities beyond those of ordinary lineages.

However, if one’s existence surpassed mortal comprehension—like that of the Immortal Monarch—their bloodline would transcend the limits of mere flesh and blood and instead bind itself to the soul.

"To think such a thing was possible... This is news to me." Xiao Cangming muttered with a dumbfounded look on his face.

"If this little girl truly turns out to be the reincarnation of your unborn daughter... what will you do then?" Xiao Cangming asked quietly.

Yuan fell silent for a long moment before replying, "How the hell am I supposed to know? Across all my reincarnations, I’ve only ever had one child—as Tian Xian—and she died before she was even born."

He paused, his voice softening. "Besides, even if she truly is the reincarnation of my unborn daughter, she has new parents now. She’s no longer my daughter... No, in the first place, she can’t even be considered my daughter. After all, my daughter was never born."

"This is the Spirit Tree...?"

Yuan’s eyes widened in surprise at the sight of the Spirit Tree. It was nothing like what he’d imagined, and its appearance defied expectation to an almost absurd degree.

"What were you expecting? A grand and massive tree?" Xiao Meilin chuckled.

"Honestly? Yes." He admitted.

Before Yuan stood the Spirit Tree—a laughably small ’tree’ that barely reached his knees in height. Though its size was laughably small and disappointing, the tree itself was breathtakingly beautiful, almost ethereal. Its trunk gleamed with a soft emerald light, and its leaves shimmered with a gentle, otherworldly radiance.

Beyond its appearance, the tree exuded an overwhelming surge of spiritual energy, so vast and pure that Yuan had never experienced anything like it before.

"How can something so small generate so much spiritual energy?" Mu Xuelian remarked with a bewildered look on her face. "I am feeling bloated with spiritual energy just from being near it."

"If you want to know its origins, you’ll have to ask my lord," said Xiao Cangming.

However, Yuan shook his head and sighed, "Unfortunately, I don’t remember, and it’s not triggering any memories right now."
