Ariel stared at Jayson in confusion.
He closed the door behind him and started walking toward her. Without a word, he took the bag right out of her hand.
She reached out to grab it back, but he was faster. Frowning, she snapped, "Jayson, what are you doing?"
He set the bag aside and took her wrist instead. "Come with me to the master bedroom."
Something suddenly occurred to Ariel. She looked at him suspiciously. "You're not seriously…"
She stopped mid-sentence, pressed her lips together, then said firmly, "I need to pack. Don't start anything, and don't get any funny ideas."
Besides, he was still recovering. There was no way she would let him push himself.
Jayson stopped then, amusement flickering in his eyes. He took another slow step forward. "Funny ideas? We're married, you know. That's just normal interaction between a husband and wife."
Ariel stepped back. A tingle ran up her scalp as she shot him a warning look. "Are you trying to slow down your recovery? The doctor said you can't do heavy work or anything strenuous. You're supposed to be resting, and you're still thinking about that?"
As Jayson looked at her serious expression, the smirk on his lips deepened, and his eyes gleamed with mischief. "Oh? I just wanted to help you pack. Does that count as a strenuous activity too?"
Ariel was instantly silenced. Her eyes widened.
"So even packing is off-limits now?" Jayson looked perfectly calm and innocent.
Then, he suddenly seemed to realize something and said, "Wait, you mean sex? Ms. Walker, what exactly is going on in that head of yours?"
Ariel was rendered speechless.
He was definitely doing this on purpose.
Jayson gave her a slow once-over, raising a brow. He reached out to pat the top of her head and said teasingly, "Think you can hold out a little longer? I have to follow the doctor's orders, after all. But if you really can't, I suppose I could risk my life for you."
Jayson guided her to sit on the edge of the bed. "Stay here. I'll pack your bag. Bellador's climate is hot and humid. It'll take a few days to adjust, and you'll need all your meds."
Ariel immediately stood back up. "You're not even fully recovered. I can do it faster myself."
Jayson raised an eyebrow. "It's different. Helping you pack your clothes is satisfying work. Sit down. I travel abroad all the time. I know what to bring. You might miss a few things."
Besides, Ariel had only just recovered. He wanted to make sure every little thing was handled properly.
Ariel was a workaholic, and since this mission wasn't something she could turn down, he naturally chose to go along with her wishes.
Knowing his temperament, Ariel finally gave up and sat back down.
The closet door was open, so she could see him picking through her clothes, even coordinating them carefully.
Jayson had always had great taste, with an effortless sense of style. Watching him now, Ariel realized she really didn't have to worry about a thing.

Please give us more chapters. We're stuck at 889 since November....
Can you give me more chapters please...
Can you give me more chapters? I was hoping for a happy ending with Ariel and Jayson. Janice with Wade, and if not, put her with Chad, Matt, or even Liam....
Nice and amazing story with gripping turns, but can you give more chapters? And please we need more romance as readers, it has been dragging on a lot, maybe romance, happy ending and end it soon....
