Everyone knew that Jayson and Ariel's past relationship hadn't exactly been smooth. First, there was Nancy; then Ariel's true identity came to light.
With Ariel's impressive abilities, when the Larkin family suddenly decided to hold a wedding, people naturally started speculating. Most assumed the Larkins were just trying to keep up appearances.
Few truly believed that Jayson was head over heels in love with Ariel. Most people leaned toward the idea that he was just playing the part because of her background and ability.
Many high-profile guests were invited to the wedding, and the Larkins didn't strictly limit the guest list. Many prominent figures could come directly to offer their congratulations. Jayson's wedding drew people traveling from far and wide, mostly to show up and gain some social clout.
So the guest list was exceptionally large, and the display of prestige was unprecedented.
Naturally, whispers and gossip started to surface, though most smart people kept their opinions to themselves.
Matt ran a hand through his hair, looking troubled. "Isn't Jayson just shooting himself in the foot here? How's he going to convince everyone he actually loves Ariel?"
Jayson really brought this on himself.
Zach frowned. Honestly, he was starting to think Ariel didn't lack people who genuinely admired her. She had no reason to take anyone's judgment lying down.
They were deep in conversation when the Larkin family's butler, Kellan Ortega, suddenly rushed in. His expression was tense as he scanned the room for the person in charge.
His abrupt entrance startled Betty and the others managing the guests.
Betty had just finished briefing Katie about the schedule. Seeing Kellan like that, she immediately knew something was off. He was usually calm and collected. If he looked this flustered, something serious must have happened.
"What's going on?"
Katie glanced toward the door, concern creeping in.
The ceremony was about to start, but Ariel and Jayson still hadn't arrived. It was definitely a problem.
If Ariel hadn't taken on extra work at the last minute, she could have come back a week earlier and had time to rest. But sudden situations were beyond anyone's control. She had just returned late last night.
Katie thought that if Ariel ran away, so be it.
Evelyn frowned. "They ditched us? How are we supposed to wrap up this huge event?"
Should they go ahead with it or not?
There were reporters present, ready to broadcast every moment.
Matt, sensing the tension, approached them. "What's going on? Jayson hasn't arrived?"
Kellan looked torn but delivered the next line. "Mr. Larkin said the wedding should start on time, as scheduled. He has his own arrangements for the ceremony."

Please give us more chapters. We're stuck at 889 since November....
Can you give me more chapters please...
Can you give me more chapters? I was hoping for a happy ending with Ariel and Jayson. Janice with Wade, and if not, put her with Chad, Matt, or even Liam....
Nice and amazing story with gripping turns, but can you give more chapters? And please we need more romance as readers, it has been dragging on a lot, maybe romance, happy ending and end it soon....
