Ariel didn't know the meaning of the door code to Jayson's house. She knew his birthday, so it wasn't that.
But it was clearly some special date. Perhaps his ex-girlfriend's birthday?
Ariel didn't want to pry. After all, it was normal for men like Jayson to have past relationships.
The house was enormous. Floor-to-ceiling windows offered a sweeping view of Eldoria's busiest district.
Moving in together so suddenly made Ariel uneasy.
She wasn't sure what she should do. She felt that wandering around seemed impolite, but she needed to unpack her luggage.
After some deliberation, she sent Jayson a text. "Which room should I stay in?"
Jayson replied almost immediately with a single question mark.
His reply made Ariel freeze for a moment. She clarified. "I don't know how you arranged it. There seem to be several rooms. Which one should I stay in?"
She thought Jayson was probably just appeasing Betty. There was no way he would actually share a bed with her.
Finally, Jayson responded, "First room on the left."
Ariel took the instruction and went to check out the room.
She assumed it was the guest room. However, upon entering, she found an enormous master bedroom with a walk-in closet and Jayson's clothes inside.
She was rendered speechless.
Had he made a mistake? Was it supposed to be the first room on the right?
Ariel stepped out to check. The opposite room was also a bedroom, similar in layout but with a slightly worse view and fewer belongings. She was now certain Jayson had meant the right side.
She moved her luggage to the right room.
Her feelings toward Jayson were complicated. He had been the victim in all this. He deserved so much more, yet he had been set up. It would be a miracle if he didn't resent her.
How could he want to share a bed with her? He was already being merciful by not killing her.
It was thanks to Jayson's restraint that they hadn't come to blows. She still felt intimidated by him.
Jayson turned around and caught her subtle expression. "I am."
He rose and came closer, composed and calm.
Ariel couldn't quite figure him out. She restrained herself as she opened the box.
Seeing there were no scallions in the dish made her even happier.
Still, eating with someone who wasn't exactly familiar—yet had suddenly become her husband—still felt a little awkward.
Jayson wasn't much of a talker, and she had never seen him smile. It seemed a shame for such a handsome face.
"All settled in?" Jayson asked, his tone cold.
"Yes."
"Good."
He glanced at the chocolate pudding and pushed it toward her. "I don't like this."

Can you give me more chapters please...
Can you give me more chapters? I was hoping for a happy ending with Ariel and Jayson. Janice with Wade, and if not, put her with Chad, Matt, or even Liam....
Nice and amazing story with gripping turns, but can you give more chapters? And please we need more romance as readers, it has been dragging on a lot, maybe romance, happy ending and end it soon....
