Ditched Cheating Alpha, I Led My Daughter to Life's Peak novel Chapter 115

I nod, shocking even myself with my sudden burst of confidence. "Why wouldn't you?"

He scoffs. "Well I don't." He kisses me hard and pushes his body against mine. I wrap my arms around him tighter to keep from falling over from the force. He growls again, low, almost quiet, and I feel it against my own chest, ricocheting. "You're mine," he says into my ear.

I can't believe what I'm hearing. I shiver against him, holding onto him still, but he's anything but cold. He's warm. Too warm in fact. I feel like I'm burning up just being in contact with him, but I can't pull away.

He still towers over me, holding me closer. Not violently, not aggressively, just protectively as if he's shielding me from the world. "I won't let anyone take you from me," he says warm against my neck. "Do you understand?"

I nod, wrapping my arms around him. I don't know why, but it feels like I've waited forever to hear that. We're holding each other in broad daylight on an empty street in the middle of a lockdown. Everything in me wants to believe him, but this is so unlike Aiden. I wonder if this is him, or just the wolf.

And I wonder, staring into those silver eyes, am I the cheater?

"Mia, why's the door closed?" I hear Michael ask.

I sigh, relieved that it's him and not Mom or Dad. Or worse, Megan or Charlie. But then I stare at the elephant in the bedroom. Aiden.

Wait, no it's... Carson? What is Carson doing here? I push him towards the window. "You have to go."

"I'm not going anywhere," he growls a little too loudly.

"Well then..." I look around. My eyes fly to the closet. "Hide. Do something. He can't see you."

"But he can see the naked guy in the corner?" he asks.

My eyes snap behind me. Sure enough, Onai is butt naked in my bedroom. Again.

"Michael already knows he's here," I say. I realize my mistake after I've said it.

Carson's eyes nearly fly out of his head. "Your family knows he's here?" He looks at Onai. "Like that? What do they think you're doing in here with him?" his voice raises.

"Well, it's not me he's here for..." I trail off.

Sure enough, Michael knocks on the door again. "I'm coming in, and swear to bob if you're on my sister Onai..." Michael throws the door open, but Onai gets in the way.

He doesn't let Michael see past him, using his naked body as buffer. "Come on, let's go back to your room." His voice lowers exponentially in a smooth, sexy way. "Help me get this pepper spray out of my eyes."

I nearly gasp.

"Where's Mia?" Michael asks. He tries to poke his head around Onai.

"She's right there, now do you want your mom and dad to see me naked or not?"

I shake my head. "No, Aiden."

"No." He clutches his heart.

"Yes," I scream, my twists flowing wildly behind me. Suddenly a wind gust fills the room. "We kissed yesterday!"

Carson's eyes snap towards my lips. "On the way home?"

"No!" I stare into his eyes. "At the altar!"

All of a sudden I feel the fabric of a wedding dress encase me. Aiden sweeps me off of my feet and launches us out the window. Axel's mortified face is the last thing I see.

I wake up from the nightmare kicking and screaming.

My first thought is, 'Aiden and I really did kiss.'

My second thought is,'What if Carson finds out? What if he already knows? What if this breaks Axel's heart and he hates me forever?'

There's no denying it, that kiss was completely voluntary. And not only that, I provoked it. Outright. In his face. What was I thinking?
