Ditched Cheating Alpha, I Led My Daughter to Life's Peak novel Chapter 277

He wipes his forehead like I'm some kind of unwanted aunt. The nerve.

"If you wanna kiss me, then kiss me," he grumbles. "Don't go around leaving your residue."

"My residue?" I cock my head back. "I was just trying to be sweet."

"With Carson's sloppy seconds?" he asks. "You should've done it to me first."

"I used the other hand," I say. But it's not everyday Aiden indirectly asks for a kiss, so I oblige. I lean over, tilting his chin towards me. He takes control just long enough to leave me hanging. Pulling me closer, ghosting his lips over mine before pulling me away.

"Aiden," I say.

"What?" he asks.

He's such a tease when he's bitter. I try to press my lips against his, with or without his help. I kiss him passionately, but he just sits there as still as a statue. Stiff as a brick.

"Aiden," I whisper.

He smirks against my lips. "What?"

"Stop it," I say.

He kisses back way too softly. Then way to slowly. I tangle my fingers in his hair, gripping it hard. He groans, running his tongue along my bottom lip. My pulse spikes. I put my hand on his shoulders, part of me pushing him away. Part of me pulling him closer.

His fingers trace the seam of my jeans up my thigh. Straight to my butt.

Omg. If he won't leave my butt alone.

But I don't even say anything, taking the opportunity to run my fingers up his abs and chest while he grabs, squeezes, and palms my rear end.

"Is that your favorite part or something?" I ask.

"It makes the top ten list," he says.

I chuckle. "Then what's your favorite part?"

"What's your favorite part?" he asks.

"That's easy." I point at his eyes. He could kill someone with those things. It's hilarious.

He glares at me.

"See?" I smirk.

He looks away "Your annoying mouth that never shuts up."

"What?" It's my turn to glare. "Why'd you say that?"

He doesn't elaborate, so I put two and two together. His favorite part of me. I grin. "Oh. You should've said so."

He backs away, seriously this time. "You need to go in. Your-"

"I'm right about what?" she asks.

"Mia deserves better. I'll park now and get out." He looks into her eyes.

Everything's fine until he looks into her eyes. She cocks her head back, looking at the car. Her eyes widen. She looks at me. I hold my breath.

"Actually..." She looks away. "Maybe you should just go. It's late."

I look at Aiden. He looks at me. I squeeze his hand gently before getting out of the car. Slowly. Carefully.

"You should be ashamed of yourself," Mom says to him. Then she turns to me. "Both of you."

"Mom. Seriously," I start.

She glares at me. I stare at my feet, losing my nerve. For a second I wonder what I'll tell Carson, but then I remember he already knows about me and Aiden-thankfully.

Aiden does the only thing he can do in this situation. "... Goodnight, Mrs. Jones."

"Carson calls me mom," she says. "If you wanna keep that charade up."

"I can't call you that."

"Obviously." She leads me back to the house.
