And honestly, I like him top–otherwise I wouldn’t spend so much time with him. Draven is a good person, and since he’s also talented and happens to be Troy’s rival, he’s the perfect partner for me. Like people say, everything happens for a reason.”

Halle caught the important part. “So Troy divorced you and still gave you trouble afterward?”

Ayla told her what had happened the night before, and Halle immediately switched her focus to Troy. Her expression soured. She kept telling Ayla that if anything happened, she should go straight to Draven for help. She hoped Troy would get smacked hard by Draven’s grandma!/

“Are you done overthinking things now?” Ayla asked.

Halle thought she was being shallow–she always thought of everything from a romantic angle.

Conrad was extremely welcoming.
