Chapter 465 Clingy
Ayla shot him an annoyed look. “What now?”
“Hold
your hand while we walk,” Draven said, his gaze gentle as he looked at her.

That reason was acceptable. Draven took her hand, and she took his. Normally, they walked side by side, but tonight she leaned against his arm as they walked.
They got into the car.
With the driver present, Ayla really wanted to kiss him–but she held back.
When Draven had mentioned earlier that her lips were dry, she’d already wanted to kiss him. She’d been holding it in all this time.
They passed a flower shop.
Draven told the driver to pull over. Ayla got out with him to choose flowers. She loved bird–of- paradise, so Draven bought a bouquet. The two of them got back into the car together.
Through it all, Ayla kept holding his hand, pressed close to his arm as they walked.
When they reached the garage, the driver left.
Ayla stayed glued to Draven’s arm as they took the elevator up.
Inside the elevator, it was just the two of them. She’d been holding back for so long. She wanted to kiss him, but didn’t say it–she simply rose onto her toes. The intention couldn’t have been clearer. Draven didn’t get it.
Ayla pressed her lips together. When they stepped out of the elevator, she slowed her pace, still sticking close as they walked home.
They opened the door and went inside.
Ayla couldn’t hold it in anymore. She wrapped her arms around his lean waist and looked up at him.
Draven stroked her hair. Ayla kept signaling with her eyes.
He pretended not to understand. “What is it? You’ve been staring at me.”
“It’s nothing.”
“Then, why won’t you let go?”

“I just want to hug you. Am I not allowed to hug my boyfriend?”
“If you’re hugging me, you can’t move. What about the flowers you like?”

“Then, we’ll walk together.” Ayla loosened her hold just enough for him to move. He took a step, and she got dragged along with him like they were attached.
Draven put her favorite flowers into a vase. They really did look beautiful.
Ayla still didn’t want to let go of him.
Draven watched her–the different look in her eyes, the expressions she only showed him. Because he liked her so much, his heart started racing. His Adam’s apple bobbed as he asked softly, “Do you really want to hold me that much?”
Ayla squeezed in closer to the flowers and signaled again, clearly asking for a kiss.
And he still didn’t get it. Really–was Draven even a man?
“Hannah said you should take good care of me. Dr. Storm, why are you being so cold?”
The word doctor darkened his
gaze.
“Say something,” Ayla urged softly.
Her voice got to him. Did she even realize she was acting cute–testing his self–control?
Switching from passive to proactive, Draven pulled her into his arms and murmured in her ear, “Ayla, I didn’t know you could be this clingy.”
Every drop of blood in his body surged.
All Ayla could think about was kissing him–but she wanted him to make the first move. Then, she heard the word clingy and froze like she’d been struck by lightning. “Me? Clingy?”
His voice was already hoarse. “Still acting cute.”
That hit even harder. Ayla stiffened completely, stammering, “That’s … not possible, right?”
Draven radiated unmistakable pleasure. Because he liked her too much, he ignored his body’s reaction and said quietly, “A rare sight.”
Then, he added deliberately, “You get clingier once you’re home.”
Following his words, Ayla replayed it in her head. Once they got home, she’d hugged him, stuck to him like they were glued together. Maybe… maybe a little…

Ah!
Embarrassment flooded her. Her face burned as she stubbornly denied it. “I’m not clingy”
But the more she said it, the less convincing she sounded.
