Chapter 602 Don’t You Hate Her?
The slap came down hard and without mercy. Melody shook in terror.

Bria was so young, yet unbelievably arrogant. Pretty, but ruthless–she didn’t even blink. Her presence alone was terrifying.
Melody realized she had misjudged things. If she didn’t comply, it would only get worse. She forced herself to soften her voice. “What did I do to offend you?”
“What did you say to Ayla?”
Melody couldn’t hide her disgust and anger. “You know Ayla?”
“Yeah. I’m her enemy. I’m looking for her weakness.” Bria smiled.
Melody immediately smiled. “Figures. Someone that clueless is bound to upset people everywhere.” She looked at Bria. “I don’t know you, but since you’ve got beef with Ayla, I’ll be honest. She just broke up. I went to laugh at her. That’s it. You misunderstood. Let me go.”
“Broke up?” Bria froze. “With who?”
“Draven.” Seeing Bria look even more confused, Melody sneered inside. She thought Bria was clueless for not even knowing Draven.
She’s clearly a spoiled brat, running around without knowing who she shouldn’t mess with.
Melody was already planning her escape. She swore she’d tear Bria’s face apart later.
“Forget it. You probably don’t even know him. Can you let me go now?” Melody endured the humiliation.
Bria’s expression suddenly turned cold. She stepped forward, slammed one hand onto Melody’s shoulder, and wrapped the other around her throat.
She didn’t look strong, but her grip was terrifying. Melody couldn’t breathe.
That cold look turned Bria into someone else entirely. “You bitch! She’s already hurting from the breakup, and you still went to rub it in? Didn’t your parents teach you basic decency?”
Melody was thrown off by Bria’s sudden switch. She struggled, but the hand on her shoulder was heavy. She couldn’t break free.
The oxygen in her lungs faded little by little. Gasping, she grabbed Bria’s wrist and forced out, “You… Don’t you hate her…?”
“I lied, idiot.” Bria slapped her hard again. “How dare you bully Ayla? Screw you!” She kicked Melody straight in the chest. “You must’ve got a death wish! Fuck you!”
Melody clutched her throat, desperately sucking in air. Today, she finally learned what real insanity looked
like.
She thought Bria was just a little unhinged. It turned out that she was foul–mouthed and terrifyingly good.

at fighting.
Melody crawled across the floor, scrambling to dodge the blows.
Why isn’t Fabiola here yet?
Finished
Bruised, humiliated, and in agony, Melody’s hatred for Bria almost matched her hatred for Ayla. But the most disgusting one was Ayla. Calm on the surface, then sending someone to ruin her behind the scenes.
She wouldn’t let it go.
“Help! Please stop!” Melody covered her head.
Seeing Bria about to knock Melody out, Andrew rushed in to stop her. “Easy! Don’t kill her.”
The word “kill” snapped Melody fully awake.
Bria stopped, squatted in front of Melody, and smacked her cheeks lightly. “Remember this. Next time you see me, stay far away. I’ll beat you every time. And if you ever mess with Ayla again—”
Her gaze slid to Melody’s fingers. “I heard you’re a third–rate painter. Your talent is trash, but if your hands get crippled, you won’t even be able to pick up trash anymore. That won’t feel good, will it?”
Melody gritted her teeth. “You know who I am, and you still dare hit me?”
“Even if your dad showed up, I’d send him straight to the morgue. Do you think I’m scared of you?”
Melody went silent.
Beating people in secret was where Bria felt most at ease. She sneered, shoved Melody away, and turned to leave.
As the warehouse door swung open, Melody’s friend appeared in the doorway. Bria glanced over, completely uninterested, and walked right past her.
Fabiola frowned.
Bria went to look for Shirley and Renee.
They were already sipping their drinks. Bria clapped her hands and instantly put on a friendly smile. “Who’s paying?”
Shirley raised her hand. “I am.”
“You didn’t get me one?” Bria joked.
“Of course I did.” Shirley quickly passed her a drink.
Bria took it with a smile and briefly met Andrew’s eyes. Neither of them spoke.
Andrew played along. Lately, Bria had been fixated on acting like a “good person” in front of Shirley, pulling their whole group into the act to maintain her image.

At first, he thought she’d gone nuts. Now, he realized she was just entertaining herself in a new way.
Bria took a big gulp of the overly sweet drink. Her thoughts were a complete mess.
Damn. Huge gossip.
I lost my sister–in–law again!
Why did they even break up?

Bria had a guess, but she couldn’t wait. To be safe, she didn’t dare ask Ayla directly. Instead, she called Troy.
Her brother had to know something.
The call went through. Bria demanded answers right away. By the time Troy finished explaining, her mind went totally blank.
