Between Ayla and Draven, Troy was still in the middle.

“Really? I haven’t heard such good news in a long time. If Troy were doing well, I might actually be

furious.”

Ayla smiled, and it was a genuine smile.

So instead, he wanted to take me and keep me locked by his side for the rest of my life, just to make sure Draven wouldn’t get what he wanted. Before the child went missing, Troy behaved better for a while. He seemed normal. But he’s just the kind of person who never really changes. Once he ran out of patience, he stopped pretending and went right back to trying to control me. I was stupid to believe someone like him could be a good father. What part of him looks like a father? Even staying by his side was dangerous for me. How could he ever give a child a sense of safety? So Max, don’t ask me how I feel about Troy anymore. There is absolutely no chance between us in this lifetime. And for now, he shouldn’t even think about seeing the child!”
