Chapter 767 Turning Thirty
Draven breathed heavily a couple of times. He propped himself up with one hand and sat up, but he didn’t chase after Ayla.
He would just settle this score tonight.
They didn’t go to the villa that night. Instead, they stayed at Ayla’s home. This was the place they knew best.
Afterward, Draven carried Ayla to the bathtub and washed her until she was clean and soft. Now, wrapped in a large bathrobe, she was placed on the couch by the bed to rest like a little lucky charm.
Draven bent over, busy changing the bedsheets.
Ayla glanced at the damp stains on the sheets he took off. When her eyes lingered on them, she immediately thought of what had just happened, and her face turned completely red.
Even after the sheets were changed, her face was still flushed.
Ayla wore a cute–styled bathrobe that made her look even younger than she actually was. Draven felt like he was committing a crime.
She really looked small.
Small in every way.
Well, except for a few parts that weren’t so small.
“If you keep blushing like that, I won’t be able to stop myself.” Draven kissed her cheek.
Ayla could only say the classic line, “What a beast.”
Draven chuckled. His voice was deep and pleasant. Clearly, he accepted the title.
However, he couldn’t actually do it again. After all, they had already done it twice, and both times lasted a long time.
Ayla knew he wouldn’t try anything else. She snuggled into his wide, strong chest, feeling very comfortable. She looked up at his handsome jawline. “Draven, your birthday is in a few days. How do you want to spend it?”
Draven replied directly, “I’m not celebrating.”
“Why not? You’re turning 30.”
Draven was silenced.
“Who wants to celebrate turning 30?” He frowned, looking completely disgusted by the number.
Ayla almost burst out laughing. Draven had great physical condition and looked young, yet he actually had age anxiety.

Fimmed.
Ayla tried to comfort him. “It’s okay. You’re only five years older than me. It’s fine, really. I don’t mind that you’re old.”
That didn’t help at all. If anything, it made him more determined not to celebrate.
He never really had the habit of celebrating birthdays anyway. There was nothing to celebrate, and he just didn’t care much about it.
But there was one main reason.
Draven grabbed her hand tightly. “I missed your birthday this year. I don’t want to celebrate mine.”
Ayla immediately thought about what happened in Theoriel.
Those were really bad memories. She had run into Troy and he followed her. At the time, Ayla thought she saw Draven. When she chased after the person, she found out it was actually Troy. That feeling of disappointment and seeing the person she hated most was really hard to deal with.
Ayla told him everything. “You have no idea how much I wished it was you back then.”
Draven’s expression changed instantly.
Ayla thought he felt guilty or sorry for her, so she quickly added some happier parts. “But it’s all in the past now, so it’s okay.”
Ayla remembered the bouquet and card from the hotel. “Oh, right. When I went back to the hotel, the staff gave me a bouquet of my favorite Bird of Paradise flowers. There was also a card. It said, ‘Happy Birthday. May you fall into the Milky Way like starlight and always shine bright.”
As she talked about it, her face lit up with a smile. “The hotel was really thoughtful. The Moblosian handwriting on that card was so beautiful, they must’ve had someone special write it. I liked the font so much, I still kept the card.”
“Even though I ran into Troy that day and felt terrible, because of that card and the flowers, I actually liked how the day ended.”
Ayla explained everything clearly, but she didn’t expect Draven’s face to look even worse. Then, he squeezed her hand tightly, and she could feel the heat from his palm.
“Ayla, I’m sorry. I should’ve shown up in front of you that day,” Draven said, full of regret.
Ayla’s eyes widened a little. “You mean you were in Theoriel that day too?”
Draven looked deeply into his girlfriend’s eyes and nodded. “Yes, I was there too. At first, I didn’t know you were there. I saw you, but I thought I was seeing things. By the time I realized it was really you, you were with Troy. I’m sorry, Ayla. I didn’t show up in front of you right away.”
“So it wasn’t just my imagination. You were really there?” Ayla could still remember how happy and excited she felt when she saw that familiar figure of Draven.
If they had met that day, they would’ve celebrated her birthday together. That had been their original plan from the very beginning,
