Chapter 807 Yearning

Draven glanced at Bria and Kaleb, but he usually didn’t interfere in their business. He simply held Ayla’s

hand.

Ayla, of course, hoped Kaleb and Bria could get along better. She hadn’t seen Kaleb in a long time, so she pulled him aside to chat.

Bria’s relationship with Draven had improved a lot, but she still couldn’t really deal with him, so she said she was in Aqualith with friends and was about to go meet them.

Draven didn’t press her.

After playing the part of a sister with Draven for a few minutes, Bria slipped away and finally let out a breath. Then she found a nearby café, ordered a coffee, and texted Kaleb, telling him to come find her after he finished talking, along with the address.

Bria waited at the café for half an hour, but Kaleb didn’t reply.

After an hour, she didn’t even need to check anymore. She already knew Kaleb had probably left.

Bria tightened her grip on her phone.

Even at the half-hour mark, she had already guessed it. She knew Kaleb probably wouldn’t come back.

If she rushed over to find him, it would be too easy for Ayla and Draven to notice something off, so she had no choice but to stay put.

Or maybe she was just stubbornly competing with herself, hoping for a miracle, hoping Kaleb would actually come back to find her.

If he did, then she’d know he didn’t hate her that much, that there was still a chance to fix things.

Bria was strong-willed, proactive, and ruthless when she needed to be, with a powerful mindset that didn’t fear rejection. But if everything was just one-sided force, it wasn’t what she truly wanted. She wanted a

response

from Kaleb too.

Or to put it more bluntly, Bria really liked Kaleb. She genuinely wanted to date him properly. Deep down. she might be flawed and selfish, but she still longed for warmth and love.

Bria was sharp and quick to understand things. Even a small setback could lead her to figure out something deeper.

and Kaleb grew disappointed in her and She had always thought love was meaningless. But after Shirle walked away, she came to realize something else. Even if love was unreliable, just a chemical reaction, humans weren’t advanced enough to live purely on logic. When faced with something real and beautiful, no one could truly resist it.

That was why when Shirley and Kaleb tried to leave her, she felt an overwhelming panic and urgency, and her emotions collapsed completely.

This was nothing like before.

Chapter 807 Yeaming

In the past, Bria didn’t care about anyone. Whether people left her or hated her, it didn’t matter.

After all, even if those people resented her, she would still live well, and her success would only make them feel worse.

That had always been her mindset, because she didn’t care about anyone.

But now, through Shirley and Kaleb, she experienced what it meant to truly care. Even someone as broken as her had been moved.

This was what Bria had come to understand over the past half month.

It wasn’t that they had disobeyed her and made her angry.

It was that she couldn’t accept losing them.

When you care about someone, you lose control and the upper hand. Bria had never imagined she’d end up in this kind of situation. She didn’t show it on the surface, but deep down, there was a growing fear.

She was afraid that no matter what she did, no matter what methods she used, in the end, they would still leave.

One was a rare friendship. The other was the first real spark she’d felt in years.

She didn’t want to lose either,

As Bria kept thinking, her grip on the coffee cup tightened unconsciously. For the first time, a hint of anxiety appeared in her usually predatory gaze. If she couldn’t accept losing them, then she’d have to do everything she could to hold on.

Kaleb might have run this time, but she could always find him again.

Two days later.

Without any warning, Bria showed up at the gate of the villa where Kaleb and Emmett lived.

Today, she wore an all-white hoodie set, the hood still pulled low over her face, shadowing her eyes. But even just from her figure, she gave off the unmistakable aura of a stunning woman.

Her hair fell loosely in front, earphones in, as she leaned lazily against the gate like some effortlessly cool girl on the street.

Emmett went home early that day. When he saw Bria, he nearly jumped out of his skin, thinking he’d seen a ghost.

What is she doing here again? I thought the two of them were done after the past two weeks, and now she’s blocking the front gate. What’s going on?

Emmett was genuinely afraid of running into Bria alone. If she suddenly decided to make a move, there was no way he could handle it.
