Chapter 854 Is this How He Wins You Over
Every word from Halle sounded like she was calling him emotionally clueless, useless, and bad at bandling things. Edgar’s face turned red with anger.
He reacted hard, almost losing control. He jumped up froin the couch and stormed toward the door
Right then, the doorbell rang. A voice came from outside. “Ms. Kinsman, it’s Wilfrid. Mr. Reagen asked me to bring you some breakfast.”
Edgar suddenly stopped in his tracks. The color drained from his face, then flushed back with anger.
Even though James hadn’t done anything himself, it felt like a hard punch straight to Edgar’s face. They hadn’t even faced each other, but Edgar still felt deeply humiliated.
The anger inside him kept rising. Suddenly, he didn’t want to leave so quickly anymore. He forced himself to calm down, then turned and walked back.
Halle just looked at him.
Edgar frowned. “Your neighbor brought you breakfast. Are you going to accept it or not?”
In the past, Halle probably would’ve tolerated Edgar’s random bad temper. But now, she didn’t care as much anymore.
Whether he was angry or not barely affected her, maybe that was what happened when feelings faded.
Halle answered with her actions. She stood up and opened the door. “Wilfrid, long time no see.”
Wilfrid smiled. “Yeah. After I got back to Zheron, I kept using the massager you gave me. It really works. Here, I brought some healthy breakfast foods. Eat as much as you want.”
Halle didn’t stand on ceremony. “Okay, thank you, Wilfrid. Come in first. I’ll carry that.”
She reached out to take the tray from his hands.
Wilfrid pulled it back and laughed. “I work every day. I’m way stronger than you.”
Halle didn’t insist. Even though Wilfrid was already over sixty, his arms were still muscular, and his body was strong. He looked like one of those older guys who could go winter swimming in freezing weather.
The easy way Halle and Wilfrid talked with each other made it obvious they were close and had known each other for a long time. It also showed that Halle and James had a very unusual relationship.

Chapter 254 is this How He Wins You Over
Edgar hated to admit it, but James was the kind of man other men envied. Women were just as attracted to him.
If those two kept spending time together like this, Edgar didn’t even want to keep thinking about At A sudden wave of anxiety and irritation hit him.
Wilfrid saw Edgar but didn’t ask any questions. He only gave a polite nod. Then he turned back to Hall with his usual warm smile, chatted with her for a few more moments, and left.
Halle took out two sets of beautiful tableware and set out two places. “Since you stayed, let’s eat together
Edgar looked at the lavish breakfast spread and clenched his hand without meaning to. His expression was cold as he sat down across from her.
It had been a long time since they had eaten breakfast together, but Edgar still hadn’t touched the food.
Halle didn’t pay attention to him. She picked up a ravioli, took a bite, and sighed happily. “Wilfrid’s cooking is still amazing.”
She usually preferred lighter, prettier meals and wasn’t really into ravioli before, but lately she had started to like them.
Edgar felt completely ignored. Halle was calmly enjoying breakfast like nothing was wrong, and he couldn’t stand being ignored anymore. “So is this how he wins you over?” he said sarcastically.
Halle looked at him. “It’s just breakfast. You’re overthinking it.’
Edgar snapped, “Just breakfast? What, are you planning to build a life with him too? And before, when you said you wanted to have kids with someone, were you talking about James? Have you liked him all along?”
Halle frowned. “Are you going to eat or not? If you don’t want to eat, then stop ruining my appetite.”
