Divorce Failed! My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 314

Parker Sterling was out of the country.

For now, everything at Aethelburg University fell to Renfield.

Renfield took one look at Leah's swollen face and cursed internally. Whoever did this hadn't just "hit" her—they'd gone savage.

And Leah's father wasn't just any parent. If this leaked, the school would drown in bad press.

Renfield forced a smile. "Mr. Ford, please calm down. Students have conflicts—there's no need to escalate this into a legal matter."

Tommy Ford didn't even bother looking at him.

He turned to Leah, who was crying messily. "Tell me. Who did this to you?"

Leah pointed straight at Maeve. "Her!"

Maeve sat sprawled in the vice principal's leather sofa like she was killing time at an airport lounge—twirling a pen between her fingers, watching the situation spiral with mild entertainment.

The most miserable person in the room was Daisy.

She'd been a victim too, but no one cared. She stood beside Maeve, small and stiff, like she was trying to take up as little space as possible.

It was a three-seater couch. Daisy didn't dare sit. Maeve had the nerve for it; Daisy didn't.

Faced with Leah's accusation, Maeve looked her up and down with a mocking smile.

"Did you enjoy getting hit?"

Leah's eyes reddened with rage at Maeve's attitude.

Tommy Ford studied Maeve. "Do you understand your actions constitute a crime?"

Maeve lifted a brow. "Then file charges."

Tommy Ford's face darkened. "You think I won't?"

Then he rounded on Renfield. "Is this what your university teaches?"

Leah's face twisted. "Say that again and I'll tear you apart."

Daisy shrank back, edging closer to Maeve.

Tommy Ford seized on what suited him and reframed it immediately.

"So you suspected Leah bullied this student, and you decided to play hero—so you beat my daughter into this state?"

Maeve laughed, pure scorn. "First of all, I don't know her. Whether she gets beaten or not is none of my business."

"I hit Leah for two reasons."

"Reason one: she and her little pack locked me in the restroom."

"Reason two: she spread sexual rumors about me in public, with zero evidence—saying I'm being kept."

Leah shrieked, "I didn't make anything up! You are being kept!"
