"I guarantee your skin will be completely rejuvenated after using it for a while."
Claudia smiled and nodded.
"Alright, I'd be happy to accept."
Barton let out a cold scoff.
"Are you really in a good mood just because of a product launch?"
Simon raised an eyebrow.
"What else would it be?"
Just then, Barton's phone suddenly rang.
Glancing at the caller ID, he didn't answer immediately.
Simon teased, "All this secrecy. Don't tell me you have a woman on the side?"
Barton's expression remained perfectly neutral.
"It's just work. Stop making wild guesses."
Simon wouldn't let it go.
"I saw the screen. That was a woman's name."
"Barton, you better not be doing anything to betray Claudia."
"She's beautiful, kind-hearted, and completely devoted to the Grover family."
"If you dare break her heart for some random tramp, I won't let you get away with it."
Barton lifted his leg to kick his loudmouthed brother, but Simon dodged nimbly.
Throughout the exchange, Claudia maintained a polite, flawless smile.
She didn't show a hint of panic at the prospect of her husband having a mistress.
By now, the group had reached the parking garage.
Simon dangled his car keys.
"I've got things to do. See you later."
Watching Simon drive off, Barton chivalrously opened the passenger door of his car.
"Get in. I'll take you home."
The ignored phone began ringing again, displaying the exact same number.
Their past combat records were nothing short of legendary.
Upon being hired by the Grover family, they had changed their names, their sole mission being to keep Nancy safe for the rest of her life.
Thinking of the fate of The Four Guardians, a shroud of disappointment covered Nancy's eyes.
"Maeve crippled them."
The Four Guardians ended up in an even more pathetic state than Zeke. They hadn't died, but they were permanently stripped of their combat abilities.
"The Grover family doesn't harbor useless trash. Since they can't do their jobs, dispose of them when the time is right."
Faye didn't see anything wrong with her daughter's ruthless logic.
If bodyguards couldn't protect their employer, there was no reason to keep them drawing a breath.
"Nancy, after an ordeal like this, it's time you gave up on certain fantasies."
Nancy's attitude remained fiercely determined.
"No. Not only have I not given up, my desire to have him is stronger than ever."
"Mom, in this lifetime, I will marry no one but Andres White."
