Zane looked even more confused. “Ayla? Isn’t she a useless nobody? She just makes copies and brings people coffee. How could she solve something this complicated?”
He shook his head. “Skyla, think about it. Is that even possible?”
Of course it wasn’t.
Skyla remembered what Juliet said. Ayla almost failed her college thesis.
What top-tier tech could she possibly know?
Juliet also said Ayla learned a bit of everything from Juliana when she was young, but she never mastered anything.
Tech work needed focus. Ayla dabbled in everything. She couldn’t possibly have the time or discipline to develop real skill.
Skyla stopped thinking about it.
“Call your own car. I’m leaving.”
Zane blocked her door. “Are you going to see Troy?”
“What does that have to do with you?”
“Troy’s amazing. Maybe he can lift a finger and bankrupt Kaleb for good.”
Zane still held a grudge against Kaleb for beating him up.
Skyla frowned. “Zane, I’m warning you. Don’t push your luck. Troy already invested billions in you. Take the win.”
“Didn’t Troy tell me to attack Kaleb’s database? Can’t he help me again?”
“No!” Skyla cut him off. “He asked you to do it because Ayla was acting out. It was to teach her a lesson. Your personal grudges are your own. Why would Troy waste time or money to help you again? Don’t be delusional.”
“But you-
“I’m not you.”
Zane was annoyed, but he also knew that it was true. Troy gave him billions not because he mattered, but because of Skyla.
With Troy’s status, almost no one was worth his time, and nobody could ask him for favors.
Which only proved how impressive Skyla really was.

And by contrast, it made Ayla look like a complete mess.
But Skyla and Zane had no idea what was happening at Kaleb’s office.

The tech department had gone completely mad. They had just witnessed the kind of talent most people never meet in their whole careers. Not just a top engineer. A genius. A mind-blowing, floor-shaking genius.
Especially for people in the same field. They knew exactly how impossible it was to create a full repair model overnight. Only someone terrifyingly skilled could do that.
The director was practically tripping over himself to treat Ayla like royalty, and the rest of the team looked ready to line up and pamper her, but Ayla hated having people in her space.
Ayla explained a few steps … and they immediately gave up asking.
Because between step A and B, she had taken twenty turns and three shortcuts. Who could process that all
at once?
Emmett kept checking the monitors. Again and again. The database was really restored. Fully. Completely.
He lifted his head in disbelief, staring at Ayla like she was some kind of miracle.
He had always admired her, but now he was ready to follow her anywhere.
Emmett grabbed Kaleb’s arm and screamed, “Ahhhhh!”
Kaleb’s ears were almost ringing. His tone came out stiff and annoyed. “Is all that really necessary?”
Emmett was about to jump out of his skin. “Are you not excited? Kaleb, Ayla is a total genius!”
He grabbed Kaleb and shook him hard. “Skyla was charging 15 million dollars! And she needed a whole month! But Ayla did it in one day!
“Ayla is real top-tier talent! Kaleb, your life is blessed! How do you have a sister this powerful? This is the real gap between people!”
Emmett was practically vibrating with joy. “And that idiot Zane came swaggering in! Hahaha! That’s what he gets. Celebrate too early and the universe slaps you!”
For two days, he and Kaleb had been drowning. It was the hardest moment since starting the company.
He finally made up his mind to spend that 15 million dollars, only to have the Summer siblings show up to
cause trouble.
He thought the company was done for, but everything flipped in an instant.
It felt better than winning the lottery, because he had just discovered a genius standing right in front of
him.
He hadn’t felt this good in his life.

Why is half of each of these chapters missing? The story sort of trails off in the middle of the chapter. That’s unfortunate....
