Chapter 146 Why Do You Hate Troy So Much?
Chapter 146 Why Do You Hate Troy So Much?
After Shawn finished talking with Will, he looked up and saw Draven shoot him a glance.
That look was so cold, it sent chills down Shawn’s spine.
He probably didn’t hear what I just said…
But since Draven didn’t care about Ayla anyway, it didn’t really matter if he heard or not.
Draven was just too possessive. He never let anyone go after his secretaries or assistants!
Soon, it was almost time to go, and Ayla came down with her suitcase.
She glanced at Troy from across the lobby.
Perhaps Troy sensed her looking, because he looked up and shot her a cold stare.
Today was their third wedding anniversary.
Now, it was over, just like that.
Ayla looked away and walked toward Draven.
Draven didn’t say a word. He just stood up and walked out.
They took Draven’s private jet to go back to Trensea from Aqualith.
Troy watched them leave with a clenched jaw and his eyes full of sarcasm.
He had been wondering what Draven’s look meant just now.
Draven had always looked down on the Winstons.

Every time he saw him as a kid, Troy would never miss a chance to call him the Winston Family’s bastard.
Draven had guts. He’d never told their grandfather about any of it.
That was exactly why Troy hated Draven so much.
Draven never cared about anything, not even Troy’s insults.
From childhood to now, Draven had never taken Troy sqriously-not even once.
So seeing Draven’s mood get turned stormy over Ayla just now was a real eye-opener for Troy.
He finally realized something: Draven wasn’t indifferent about him. While Troy was trying to get under his skin, Draven was doing the same thing back.
That also made the whole situation about Ayla make a lot more sense.

Ayla was his wife, but also Draven’s secretary. So, Draven was just using Ayla to get under his skin.
For three years, Ayla had always been obedient, never having her own opinions. For her to change so much in just a month, there had to be another reason.
The reason had to be Draven!
As long as Ayla’s changes weren’t really her own idea, Troy could accept them.
Because he couldn’t stand the way Ayla was now.
Chasing her all the way to Aqualith today was really out of character for Troy.
But it was understandable. After all, Ayla had been his sweet, obedient wife for three years. Of course he’d be surprised if she suddenly changed.
In Troy’s mind, nothing had really changed. Ayla was just being influenced by Draven for now. So all he had to do was pull her back, and everything would go back to normal. Ayla loved him so much; she’d definitely listen to him.
With that, Troy’s uneasy heart finally settled.
Once he got Ayla back, everything would be just as it was!
Ayla took Draven’s private jet back to Trensea. Troy didn’t rush up to stop her, probably because he cared about his pride.
Troy wasn’t stupid. He knew even if he tried to stop her, she wouldn’t leave with him. Making a scene would only embarrass him more.
That was a relief for Ayla.
She just dreaded dealing with someone truly obsessive, who’d make a huge fuss and refuse to accept reality.
After the flight, Ayla and Draven went back to their neighborhood together.
Once they got out of the elevator, they were supposed to go their separate ways,
Ayla said, “Mr. Storm, goodbye.”
But Draven didn’t move. He just stared at her, his eyes cold. “Ayla.”
Ayla tensed up. Draven’s look was downright scary. She’d already sensed on the plane that something was off with his mood, but she hadn’t dared to ask.
Her gut told her it had something to do with her.
Ayla was a little nervous, afraid she’d made him mad.

Why is half of each of these chapters missing? The story sort of trails off in the middle of the chapter. That’s unfortunate....
